I'm the die hard Volvoniac. I've had Volvos from 240 to V70. I love V90/S90 and all other current models. I'm not sure that badge engineered chinese MPV is the way. Volvos have always been built as Volvos from scratch, even when Ford ruled and the car was FoMoCo under the skin. No other car in the world is built like a Volvo and you IMHO can't spray paint a "volvoness" on a car from other source. Which Volvo tried with Carisma > V40 and to this day it's not deemed a real Volvo by any Volvoniac. I hope I'm wrong but I probably am not.

Marketing doesn't match the vehicle. Where are the Volvo signatures? Where are the sustainable materials? Where is the understated elegance? Where's the backlit wood? Vertical display? This is almost a carbon copy of the Zeekr009 and it is so not differentiated from that vehicle, I frankly don't see the point of it. This vehicle dilutes the Volvo badge. You're Volvo, not Zeekr.

Volvo/Geely/Polestar sure is taking things to the next level at either ends of the market with its E range, in terms of cost and size, from the EX30 to the EM90 to the 3,4 and 5. During my 13 years driving expirience I owned only two cars, both are Volvo. The first one was S60, it served me 11 years and could do so on, but my second child was born I needed a second car. I tried to look at GLE and X5, but none of them beats XC90. Volvo is the best car in premium segment!

@@TheAdamField I respectfully disagree. Volvo was going to be the next SAAB before its acquisition by Geely. Geely provided the capital Volvo needed to rebrand itself, the Chinese company left the engineering and creative departments fully intact and the brand remained fully Swedish. Since then, Volvo became more upscale, their vehicles were much more beautifully designed inside and out and their sales rebounded dramatically. I’m no fan of China believe me, but Volvo badly needed an injection of money, and Geely came through for them.

I love all the improvements to Volvo, as an existing Volvo owner we are very happy with our car. I know it's on trend to use recyclable green, plastics and materials but I'm hesitant upgrading my Volvo to a new model now Volvo has dropped leather materials inside the car. I hope leather interiors responsibility sourced could be an option which could be considered in Volvos new approach.
