Now this is loyalty. PK Subban never wanted to leave Montreal, but it wasn't in his hands and the powers that be decided to trade him. Thankfully, the Montreal fans know that and gave him the welcome he deserved! It's a good thing Nashville is in the Stanley Cup Final, PK Subban at least deserves that much.

Tell me the last player on another team to ever get a standing ovation like that. It was a HUGE mistake letting him go. He had heart, personality and talent which is a dangerous combo in any sport. I love Webber I just wish we got him under different circumstances. Imagine what impact Webber would have on PK. He could have been the greatest TWD in MTL history
@gregharte90503 жыл бұрын
@Nightstalker_55_420 Maybe. But he brought so much excitement to the ice. Those slap shots from the points of the remaining seconds of a game 7, or hopping out of a penalty box to get a break away and absolutely breaking the goalies ankles. He had a great relationship with Price and trusted him to do a lot. And when PK was a "turnover machine", Price was a Vezina trophy winner. PK should have been a franchise player. I stopped watching hockey all together a few years after that trade. Montreal games fucking sucked. Subban being traded at the peak of the City of Montreal loving him, killed him. It got in his head.

Therrien wasn’t the only one not getting along, players like Pacioretty and Plekanec weren’t going along with him. The window for a cup was opened so Bergevin took his chance to go get as much leadership as possible to get a cup by getting Weber. He missed his shot, and i think the Habs would be way better around with guys like Subban Sergachev (no Drouin but would replace Markov) and Radulov. Yes Weber is more disciplined and takes less risks than Subban, but Subban is younger and Weber’s contract will plunge Montreal into cap hell in a couple of years from now. He completely missed his shot at a cup and he will get fired at the end of the season imo

So far its close, which is why the Predators clearly won the trade -- because the last 2 years were supposed to be the years Weber outplayed PK..... barring injury, there's almost no chance that Weber's age-related decline is going to keep him playing at a level that justifies the trade in favor of Montreal. As an Oiler fan, I know how hard it is to root for a team with garbage management. I hope PK wins a couple rings -- but with or without the cup, his generosity has already secured his legacy.
