roles are good when first learning competitive, but as you get better and your teammates too, players become more flexible and roles are less defined, other than IGL of course

Well, IGLing, unless you're playing with a team should also probably be somewhat fluid too. If you're in a pug, calling strats and whatnot is kind of a team effort more than one player defining a strategy and everyone following it perfectly. I could be wrong

In palace in a sense you can somewhat be a support player depending on the situation (which mostly depends on opponent positioning and the amount of them around). If you can just make your presence known in palace without getting picked thats another area to be concerned about if there isn't enough ct players to watch the specific angles. This isn't the case every round though its generally when theres already been a ct picked off limiting the players around either mid or A.

I wouldn’t say that I’m an entry fragger, but since I’m pretty much always the only one on my team confident with my aim. I’m always the first guy out to the site, middle, what ever we push. Usally that works fine, and I might get a kill or two, but the fact that when I die, my team starts to play passive, and ends up dying 3 vs 4 or even 2 vs 4. My games I usally do good with kills but I die quite a lot as well, the reason being that I’m a bit over confident and push in situations I shouldn’t be pushing. Even though I understand this it’s hard to get things done and I truly belive I’m stuck in elo hell.

The only important thing is that you understand each one well so you know for yourselves what you should do. As a face it 4 i only used to entry hard but did not think about timings for teammates. You should give them enough room to make their play and react after that. On mirage you shouldn’t entry a when the guy b apps isnt rotating already. Also give your teammates a change to take mid and preferably are inside conecter when entrying a.

Hi Voo, thx. Nice Vid as always. I really like that you think outside the box and encourage others to do so as well. Nade line ups, rolls etc. are anyways meant to be used in coordinated games. Games none of us is probably playing. Thats why it is important to be versatile and dont put yourself into a corner where you only do x or y. I always thought in a similar way in most games it is more about beeing smarter than your opponent, even you are worse skillwise you can come out on top of them.

Yeah you're 100% right you can support differently. It might be more of a terminology thing? I'd usually call supporting by baiting for your team//getting info an entry position or lurk position more than a support position which I usually use to refer to players playing more passively (even though entry/lurk can support their team in their own ways)

@@vooCSGO i mean taco back when cold was with him on luminosity etc was a great example, my terminology is the support does the job noone else wants, which i take a great deal from taco and krimz as i play support for my team and they arent your traditional xyp3x which is, stay back throw util and be last alive to clutch, taco and krimz even tho left in the clutch alot do alot more of just thhe shity jobs noone wants, or maybe its not even shitty, if noone wants 2nd awp, support takes it, if someone isnt feeling the entry support does it, if someone wants an awp but cant afford support drops them awp buys smg, but the most important one i wanna point out is taco and cold as a combo, taco would actually entry frag for cold on ct side mirage for example they would always push together but he was supporting by basically entrying is how cold described it cuz it was supporting by saving colds life in return for his own. yes you can call it an entry but hes still doing his support job

Cheers, good info, CS2 has motivated me to consciously learn the game instead of just learning through MM, and this was a topic I was always curious about. Wasn't sure if it was something more appropriate at the pro level, or at least in a 5-man (I solo Q a lot because I like chaos and pain.) Pleased to hear that fluidity is the right approach, because I definitely always felt like it was more important to read the round than to adhere to some label you'd put on yourself. Plus, I was dreading the idea of trying to communicate the idea of roles to randoms on MM. I would play faceit but I want to learn Russian ;) might save my life in a POW camp in 2032

Walking is silent. Have you been running the whole time? If u press W only you run and make noise. You walk when u press W and some other button (its W and shift usually or something like that).
