I had surgery last Thurs, and I’m gonna be mostly on my back for at least 6 weeks... so I’ve had some time on my hands, and it’s been a privilege to listen to all the great things you’ve been sharing with us. I’m 47, been a blues fan most all my life, definitely all my adult life. I’m a big fan of some great guitarists like John Fahey, Ry Cooder, JJ Cale, Stevie Ray, John Renbourn, Rev Gary Davis, J Garcia, Mark Knopfler, Tommy Emmanuel, John Martyn, David Gilmour, Trey Anastasio and so many more that it would be impossible to put in a msg. Buckethead stands out almost all the artists I’ve heard because he only communicates thru his instrument... His mission has been to tell every story, every msg he has with his hands and his strings... you too have such a gift and inner drive to share your passion, and it’s awesome to subscribe and see whatever you’ve got goin on at any given time, but especially right now!.. You inspire me to want to fingerpick again, only stick with it!! I had read a book by Stefan Grossman when I was in my early 20s, and I got really comfortable with my alternating bass notes, to the point I wasn’t having to think about rolling my notes anymore. But, life took over and I didn’t make the time to ever get back to fingerpicking. But I did start playing again last October. So that’s been a massive positive in my life. Anyway, I’m certain you inspire a lot of people, and that alone is making a positive difference every day... especially while it kinda seems like the world is on 🔥! So keep on keepin on brother, cuz you’re in rare company for sure.
