YES I’m loving the overlap between the knitting and roller skating community! Both are so welcoming and fun. I’ve been obsessed with Tommi’s monthly skating vlogs and I’d love to see similar content from you❤️❤️

My making/ creative process is wherever it takes me. Yesterday was working on my crochet granny stripe blanket, today baking raspberry & white chocolate muffins and vanilla biscuits with Smarties (bigger than M&M’s) mixed into the batter. Hopefully have time to alter the length of 2 skirts so I can wear them this week. Sometimes there is no mojo!! Love your creative craziness. Mine is similar

Roller skating!!! How exciting ,you go for it Kristen.Thankyou for taking me right back to the roller skating rink in the early seventies when every Saturday we would skate around in our rented white boots to the music of the day then buy a pink milkshake.My dad and I won the pairs spot prize(where a spot light would shine on a random couple) as we all skated around with the coloured disco lights adding to the atmosphere) No protective gear at all but when we fell on our bottoms we just got up and carried on😂

Hi Kristen! First, that dress! Yes, make more. Really suits you beautifully. Several seams that you can use for your Sirdair - flat seam or the bickford seam.... to name a few. You look great on rollers so I have no doubt you will make an amazing ice skater too ....😃😉

Hey. Good you found a new rabbit hole that excites you. You should try out the ice skating ring as well. It is amazing. Always was my favorite sport in the world. And you can use all your hand knitted items like hats, scarves, and mittens. Have a great weekend. thanks for all your videos

Oh I totally intend to! It's been so long since I put on a pair of ice skates. I used to do it after school, 2nd, and 3rd grade! So glad you've been enjoying, Granualie!

I skated for hours every week at an indoor rink when I was young. If you start developing blisters, try Dr. Sholl's moleskin to cover and protect problem areas - works great!

Ponte is pronounced Pon-tee. Although it’s actually an Italian word that is pronounced “pon-tay” in Italian. Generally, though, sewists call it “ponty” :)

Thank you! It's one of my favorite pieces. I purchased it a while back from an Etsy shop that is sadly not making jewelry anymore. :/ OnceMagnificent on Etsy if you're curious.

Do you have any tips on working with a twin needle. I love the finish it gives, but when I work with a twin needle the needle breaks every 2 minutes..
@Voolenvine4 жыл бұрын
Great question, Manon! Hmmm... Depending on your machine, you may have to fiddle around with your tension. Also, make sure it's threaded correctly. I thread the spool that is closest to the front of the head of the machine through the left facing needle and the spool behind it, through the right. Something else that may help, make sure you start with the needle(s) in the down position before pressing your foot on the pedal. I hope that helps/makes sense.

Once you feel comfortable on your skates you can wear them running errands instead of riding your bike.
