Can't just change the front bell of the scope. The entire scope body (front to back) is one piece construction. They sent you back a new scope! Vortex sent me back an entire new scope just because the elevation turret cap was slightly crooked. I even explained to Vortex that the scope tracted perfectly and nothing was mechanically wrong with it, and I had the scope for 4 years. Still sent me a brand new one.

Have you happen to come across either of the swampfox LPVOs yet? i would love to see one of your amazing reviews on their Tomahawk 1-4 or Arrowhead 1-6 lol if you ever get the chance that is xD, i've heard good things but who knows lol just figured i'd ask

Also, Vortex as a scope is not my favorite. But, Vortex as a company is my favorite. That is why I buy from Vortex. I'd rather deal with down to earth, real people. Doesn't matter if you buy the best European brands for thousands $$$ more. All mechanical devices are prone to fail. So why not buy from a company who recognizes this and will stand 100% behind there customer and not their own bottom dollar?

Late answer, but here you go: My best guess is it was a supply problem. When this happened, covid was causing an even worse strain on supply lines than it is now. No one had any Razors in stock and everyone was looking for them. Since the only thing that was different between my scope and current production scopes was the reticle, it was easier for them to repair than replace. If you watch C's video on the Razor 1-6 that I sent him, that was a replacement. I had a 1-6 non E version that fell off my truck onto concrete and cracked the back glass. Vortex replaced that scope with a brand new one. That was because there were significant changes in the design and they no longer shared common parts. -Sparks

That scope is an overkill on a 16 inch. Unrealistic you'll ever shoot someone that far in self-defense lol

@@SkintSNIPER262 Unless you can anticipate their intension and prove they were in fact going to harm you from so far away, you can’t justifiably shoot someone that far. You can’t act like the U.S. military in the middle east and just shoot at anyone you think looks threatening because they don’t look like you or wear your colors. You better make sure they shoot first or it’s a real credible threat/killer/terrorist or else it’s just plain murder on your hands lol
