You don't need to remove the two movement ring screws, just loosen, then rotate the movement so one screw clears the stem gap and you can pull the movement out of the ring with replacing simple reversal.

Have you seen the grille bezels on Meranom? They look abs mint on a 090 and the finish matches the 090 perfectly, def recommend. I did mod my rare KVPO Amphibia taking it from the octa case and put into a 060 case I had refurbished and it just works so well, my last 090 was a radio room homebrew set into a modern 22mm 090 brushed case, white radio room dial, superluminove arrows and a gawjus high polished steel bezel and it has either a navy camo NATO or a distressed hide 5 ringer depending on my taste of the day.

I had major issues getting the stem to seat once the movement was in the case. Any tips anyone? I managed to get it back but it was harder than it should have.

People keep going on about the genius of the two part case back, but Mason jars have been using that technology since 1858.
@watchmewithwatches3 жыл бұрын
But can a Mason jar house a delicate movement down to 200m depth? There is a video idea right there!

Do you have any ideas on how you could make the bezel ratcheting/unidirectional?
@watchmewithwatches4 жыл бұрын
I'm not entirely sure. Thing is, it would detract from the unique charm that the standard bezel action offers.
@ts66404 жыл бұрын
Let me ask you, is there any feasible way to increase the ‘beat rate’ of these Vostok? The sub 20,000 bps rate drives me crazy. I would love to get it to 25,000 or above (understanding that even the standard seiko movements are not to that level). Thanks!
@watchmewithwatches4 жыл бұрын
I find mine gets aroused when playing it some Masonic music, its best rate goes up significantly. But I can't walk around playing that sort of music. So make do with its standard beat rate.
@ts66404 жыл бұрын
watch me with watches Fair enough! Strange but oddly easily understandable response.......probably holds true for all of us
@duckrutt4 жыл бұрын
It would be a lot easier to put a vostok-ish dial on a different watch than swap out the movement. I can't find a dial to stem dimension on a 2416B but it's a thick movement so you'd need to space a NH35, Miyota or ETA (clone?) movement down in the case by around 1mm so the stem lines up. I guess you could add some kinda chapter ring to fill the gap 'cus you'll never get the hands back on if you space the dial up that much. Oh, new hands to fit the movement. All three of them are larger in diameter (and thinner) so you'll need to make a new movement holder. The weight should be far enough in to clear the case back but the seal might be too wide. Spin it before screwing anything down. The crown... You'll need a crown that fits the new stem and matches the threads on the case so probably something custom machined? Those are the problems I can think of right now and I probably missed something obvious. I usually do.
@F3z074 жыл бұрын
Duckrutt is right, beat rates are built into the movement. Low best rates make tougher and more robust movements, though, and it is so easy to regulate Vostoks!
