Vote 2024: Labour urging caution despite topping opinion polls

Labour's national campaign co-ordinator Pat McFadden has told Sky News "nothing's decided" after Rishi Sunak called a general election for 4 July.
Mr McFadden told Sky's Kay Burley, "There have been a lot of changes in the Labour party in recent years, that's got us into a competitive position, but nothing's decided about this election."

What’s been heard so far counts for nothing. It’s all red herrings from him and Sunak. It’s probably more than 8million clobbered by Sunak. £900 quid that Sunak keeps banging home , was a piss in the ocean for those people. The only beneficiaries are the ones that don’t actually need it. Sunak’s ‘Plan’ solely stems from wanting a Reputation to propel him onto the world stage. There was a time when 8million voices could have been heard as one. Labour Must be show that votes are being ‘Lent’ to him.’
