Riker: Is there any health risk to Counselor Troi if the fetus is aborted? You think?! She will bear enormous guilt to having murdered a child of her own probably even to the point of PTSD which is enormous psychological damage! She could have her uterus perforated and that leaves a large chance of infertility, or death from internal bleeding. I loved Deanna's decision. Based Deanna!

Also, Deanna would feel her child’s emotions if she did that. Betazoids are empaths. There’s no doubt the females could feel their unborn children’s emotions in utero.

I love that her Imzadi was there watching over her. The doctor was there to deliver the baby. Data was there for support. Worf was there for security. Will was there because this was his Imzadi and he wanted to make sure she was OK. Its so sweet.

This was the first episode I ever saw of TNG; the first to be shown in Australia, and it's still one of my favourites.

Data expressed emotions twice panic in the beginning and saying it was remarkable at the end

He seems to have curiosity and fascination, and I think those are emotions, at least on a cognitive level. Panic could just be him trying to get the doctor's attention, knowing it's urgent, but not necessarily because he, himself, is panicked. Still adorable.

I am here only after seeing Picard Tv Series. Where Picard was holding a baby, at some point of time lost his life. Still don't know the story after whaching this. Now I am in a rabbit hole... digging.

Tbh, I find this story awful. Impregnated with no consent. No questions on that. The alien that does this is then never held to account. People talking over Troi about a violation. Then she has the child, he grows quickly and then moves on. Because of this, Troi effectively looses the “child” but yet her grief is effectively much ignored.

I found it a horrid chapter. She got pregnant by an unknown energy she did not choose. She did not feel any disgust, invaded, angry or any rejection of the creature. This chapter seems to be written by someone who doesn't understand women.
