Bloody hell! What an ordeal to make this! Constant delays, technical problems, bad health days and copyright strikes. Also my January started with a loved one getting hospitalised and I had to look after them. Lot of long nights and stress. It was all worth it to entertain you all. You might be wondering why this film got reviewed, and the short answer is I made a script for this last year and I hate not finishing a video. Also I did promise you guys a review and some of you did ask. Now what I'm seeing a lot of is Rise of Skywalker and The Mandalorian...so back into the editing mines. Thanks for all the support! I love you all and stay tuned as the next video is going to be a long one...

"No wonder she got so little screen time in Avengers Endgame" Fun fact: Allegedly, that screen time was more then she was originally suppose to have. She saved Tony and Nebula at the start, but that was apparently originally suppose to be Thor using Stormbreaker/the Bifrost. Remember when Thor shoots lightning into Iron Man's back to charge up a super weapon that Thanos then shrugs off? Well apparently that was suppose to be what shoots Thanos' ship out of the sky, not Captain Marvel's arrival. @@Warhamer116 I don't agree with this at all though, she doesn't come of as a socio or psychopath. I do think she's too strong just like Superman, and that ultimately taking the superhero concept too far, but that's not Brie's fault.
@goji37554 жыл бұрын
@@Hirnlego999 Characters with this level of power CAN work with enough imagination and/or a grander sense of scale., as the best writers between (Ms) Marvel and Superman have proven time and again in the comics. Their best stories tend to be driven by very complicated moral, psychological, and yes, even EMOTIONAL conflicts. Even political dramas can work with these characters provided there's much more thought and nuance put into the politics than the woke crowd seems capable of generating. The major difference between the compelling stories we get in the comics and the mediocre films we get like Man of Steel and Captain Marvel is that the actors are either lacking in their own ability or are lacking substantive material and direction to work from. In the case of Captain Marvel it's probably a bit of both. There's never a moment where her emotions get the better of her in any meaningful or consequential way, so the whole "control your emotions" line feels like it was written in at the last minute to try and justify Brie's near-constant "blah" face. She's turned in better performances before, so I can only assume the script just didn't grab her attention at all. I can't say I blame her.
@thinkwithurdipstick4 жыл бұрын
Hirnlego999 yeah but stoic usually means that the character is pensive, you can tell that they’re willingly suppressing emotional reactions in favor of thought and reason. Larson doesn’t give that off at all, she comes across as more of an apathetic plank of wood. There’s a difference between not being emotional and lacking all ability to emote entirely.

@@crym77 Old perv' Professor Tosspot is "reading" the Kama Sutra, a book of sexual positions. He stumbles upon a picture of a position that leads him to think he needs a beard to perform it. Here is the joke : it is not a beard he sees, it's a hairy vagina, in which the man's face is "stuck" (therefore, he thought it was a beard). Is that clear ?

Yes, this was part of the last storyline. Where a super villain, was you killed the Avengers, captain marvel or I'll blow up the earth and she was more than happy to do so. She then cloned them all afterwards, so now all the Avengers are clones and Iron Man is a clone of a clone.

Kevin Clark oh so cuz she can clone then she sees them as cattle basically. Just kill them off and clone them again when they become inconvenient.

Funny how Disney/Marvel allegedly has all this money and yet so many of their movies have lousy special effects and bad make up/prosthetics! They couldn't invest in a GOOD, CONVINCING WIG for Samuel L. Jackson?!? That's not funny... It's just sad! They can't invest in good scripts with characters that approach something like humanity AND yet they skimp on on basic visuals (make up artists knew how to do well decades ago!) hoping the fake explosions will distract from how bad the make up and CG de-aging of actors really is?

Never know maybe if Disney and Fiege come to their sense’s they’ll turn Captain Marvel into a secret ally of Galactus and a new interpretation of Jean Greys Phoenix or Professor X destroys her or mind fcks her. Best case scenario would be Disney and Warner Bros come to agreement and we have Justice League vs Avengers so Batman (using scarecrows fear gas), Superman, Wonder Woman or Flash (by phasing his hand through heart or time travel) can kill her
@chubbyninja8424 жыл бұрын
I think, for the most part, your review was spot-on. In fact, I think you may have even given it a little too much credit at times. It was a BAD movie. One of the things you didn't really cover that frustrated me the most is they portrayed Fury as a sort of pathetic, barely competent pencil pusher. It's like Stark said, "Fury is THE spy!" The writer figured that the best way to build up Carol was to tear down every other male character in the movie, which is NOT how you build up a character. It's how you ruin a movie. Further, there was so much that just made no sense. Too many plotholes to count. For example, Carol gets her powers because she blew up the FTL Engine and was washed over by the energy it released. Uh ... okay ... but so was Law's character. If she got powers, shouldn't he have received powers as well? And being a Kree to begin with, wouldn't that have made him way more powerful than her? It's almost as if they went out of their way to find every possible way to build the worst possible version of this movie. And I'm totally on board with your commentary about how they try to say anybody who didn't like it just doesn't like female-hero movies ... which is nonsense. WonderWoman was the best DCEU movie by far. Hunger Games was an amazing franchise. Don't even get me started on the Alien franchise and how badass Ripley was. As far as I'm concerned, there's little better in the world than a strong female character done right, which sort of pisses me off more when they do it so badly. This had the potential to be another WonderWoman quality movie and it just wasn't.

They filmed her parts in End game before they made this movie, that's why she is not so much in end game at all.. Of course the movie is mediocre, as are almost all Marvel movies, they are quickly forgettable videogames at cinema Edit, added details.. "This film [Endgame] will always be personally dear to me because it was my first time playing Captain Marvel," Larson said from a stage that included several of her co-stars as well as directors Joe and Anthony Russo and producer Kevin Feige. "We shot this first so I had to stumble and figure out who this character was with no script for this and no script for Captain Marvel either and perform for the first time in front of legends. But it was incredible," Larson recalled. www.ign.com/articles/2019/04/07/brie-larson-filmed-avengers-endgame-before-captain-marvel

I'm still considering my headcanon that Nick Fury actually lost his eye when he, Carol, and Loki for some reason, went to an island to fight a Giant Monkey, and Nick got crushed under the monkey's fist. It may not make a damn lick of sense, but at least it's more dignified than losing his eye to a cat scratch.
