if I want to insert a representation view in an assembly, is there a way to lock it?, because every time I close and open the top level assembly the representation view goes back to Master Rep, thanks!

When a simp rep is active, creo does not allow to use "insert mode". I mean , rolling up the model tree is disabled. I have to return to "Master Rep" to go up the model tree . Any reason?

Hi, I have tested it Minute ago and it works on my configuration (Creo 4.0 and also 8.0) I am able to set custom Simp rep and later place new components into assembly structure. System place new model as master.

@@4kside sorry, I forgot to mention that the issue was in part model mode and not assembly mode. Also, thank you for the quick response.

Hello again, sorry to say but you are right... On 3D model is not working. Maybe you can create request on PTC Community and people are able to vote if they would like to implement also into new releases of Creo. Good luck.

Cannot delete simplified representation referenced by a drawing in memory. Cannot delete part simplified representation that is referenced in memory. How clear this?????

In Creo 8 all Simplified reps are on demand (System delete from memory all not used objects).... This is theory, but I need to try your example. Stay tuned. Thanks for your question. Vladimir
