Austin Butler did an amazing job. Unfortunately I feel like his performance was wasted by Bax Luhrmans egocentric self centered styling directing. Would’ve been much better if he focused more on Elvis and less on Parker. Elvis led such an interesting life, and they left a lot of it out. Instead of telling the story of a remarkable man’s life Luhrman was more interested in putting his own pizazz and interpretations into the film. Under a different direction this film could’ve been an all time classic.
@jamesprior24962 жыл бұрын
@@MJsap13 Excellent assessment, Mr. Sapelli. I could not have worded it better myself. I agree with you that the focus should been more on Elvis and not the narcissistic self-serving huckster that was the 'Colonel.' This man sang thousands of songs in his lifetime and his voice never faltered, just as he sounded when he started. Elvis could sing absolutely every possible song. He is the King for a reason. I didn't realize this until later in my life when I finally discovered him. Too bad I wasn't alive when he was living, seeing him live would have been amazing. God bless Elvis. He poured his heart out on everything even to the end. Thanks for the video!

Even after all these years of your passing, there are millions of fans around the world that adore you, pray for you. You will be never forgotten and will be cherished in our hearts for eternity. You are truly the King of Rock and Roll and nobody will ever dethrone you, not even in a billion years. Amen.

This part of the movie made me cry. It's amazing how for the moment he was on the stage, he was able to become the music. His smile; his joy in the midst of so much pain. The movie was amazing; it's outward in cultural approach helped distinguish the movie from earlier movies on his life which can get redundant. It's focus on cultural appropriation versus influence was welcomed to reset the clock on myths gone wild. Loved the movie and love this performance.

It's sad when a child loses his hero. Not the same like losing a loved family member, but feels almost like losing a close friend. I was a grown man when Chester from Linkin Park died, but he was my favorite singer when I was a teenager and I still drop a tear from time to time, when watch music videos of Linkin Park. He sang mostly about his inner pain and trauma...can't hear my hero of my teenage days without hearing him telling everyone how miserable he felt all the time. So, I guess I feel you.
