Just got mine a couple months ago, took it out to the farm last week, put about 500rds through it, thing was bone dry too, didn't oil it up, not one malfunction, thing ran beautifully. Out of the box it was dead on too at 100yds. Check me off as impressed.

Have never had an issue with my VSKA. Have almost 3,000 rounds through it, no malfunctions, but I don’t use PMAGS. PMAGS = Malfunctions. Newer Century Arms AKs are well made. Century had issues in the past, just like most manufacturers have issues early on.

I bought a vska knowing very little about century arms prior to...always had AR's. LGS had two zatstava m70's in stock and i saw them on a lunch break...came back the next day to buy one and they were gone...replaced with vska's. with current gun climate i said screw it and bought the vska anyway.....1000+ rounds in, zero malfunctions. No change in headspace. No peening. Was actually pretty funny a guy at the range next to me had just bought a fairly expensive import and wasnt able to get on paper even with fully adjusted front sight at 50 yards...me and RSO looked at it and determined the barrel might be bent. He looked at my target with the center blown out and asked what i was shooting, smirked and said century vska. Could see the color run out of his face, was hilarious.

I've had mine for 3 years 2000 rounds and only one failure to feed where the projectile broke off the cartridge. I lubed it up and haven't had a problem since, though with the ammo shortage and building ARs I haven't shot it in over a year at this point. I have some rough ridges on the head of the bolt carrier that goes farthest into the gas tube and there's a little rust from it sitting around in the closet. Other than that I haven't had any problems. I'm going to invest in a no-go gauge just in case next time I shoot it.

They're supposed to be on the affordable end just like century arms AKs. The iron sights are a little off on my VSKA but I never intended on using them. I bought a TWS dog leg dust cover replacement that has a picatinny rail for mounting optics since the gun doesn't come with the side mount. It shoots just fine and accurate wit that.

I love my VSKA, I reload so I get to feed it plenty of brass and lead. I bought it used but I've put almost 5k through it. It seems to prefer polymer mags and a light polish on the hammer kept it cycling low powered handloads. The Lee 155gr cast at 15BHN with a gas check and powdercoated over 20gr of IMR 4198 is an excellent target load out to 300yds, will mushroom about 26 inch mark into the ballistic gel.

@@zacharyrollick6169 AKs aren’t particularly quick cycling guns. With a fast trigger you can actually jam a semiauto one (because it lacks the autosear which prevents the hammer from falling until the bolt is in place) by shooting too quickly.

Idk why but to me it seems like this AK is producing more recoil than most AK videos I've seen. I personally own a WASR 10 and I don't think it recoils this much. I was surprised at how light the WASR 10 AK is because it was my first AK. Before it I've only ever owed things like Mosin Nagants, M1 Garand, SKS, etc.

I just bought one on Dec 2nd... Red wood furniture. So far I have 20 rounds through it with no sign of wear and absolutely no malfunctions... I'm impressed for sure. 😉 I'll come back and give another review when I double the round count... 🤣😂🤣😂

I bought one of the VSKA's last year. I have not fired it yet. I just wanted a stamped receiver because my other AK is a milled receiver. I am looking to get another AK47 and aAK74. Thanks for the video. I guess it isn't as big of crap as the interweb would lead you to believe.

Nathan Witus yeah, I know man. AK is something else 😂 so many variations and patterns, different manufacturers and importers. Generally speaking, American mass production AKs are all pretty worthless. Kalashnikov USA might be better but I honestly don't know. Sounds like PSA finally got their AKs to work in the 3rd gen. Century import AKs are good to go, domestic ones are.. well. If you can find an Arsenal, better yet a Russian one, buy it and sell the VSKA.

I have about 7k rounds through my store bought (not cherry picked as if that would matter) VSKA. I kept close count on rounds until 5000, and it’s a bit of a guess since then. It’s still going strong. I treat it worse (by far) than any of my other guns, and it just keeps on running. Brandon, suggestion... banana clip for that hair?

I own two vska rifles. Bought a year apart. The older one I have shot 4000 rounds through it. The other one 2000 rounds. No trouble from each. Not cherry picked. Used from a friend. The cherry picked arguments on here cracks me up. If someone dont trust the rifle don't buy it.

Just an observation , but every time you had a misfeed , there was a Mr. Guns& Gear sticker on the mag. Was there only one in the mix ? Could be just a weak mag. Good video ! Most guys who buy the VSKA probably won't shoot 6000 rounds anyway , but it's nice to know what the gun will take .

Spencer Carter I clean it once every month, and it’s really easy to field strip. I’ve lost count of my total rounds after yesterday, but it was at least 3700 according to my ammo receipts.
