I guess you could call this part 3 of me analysing the relationship between Carmelita Montoya Fox & Sly Cooper. In Sly Cooper Thieves in Time, there's a certain line right before Sly goes off to face Le Paradox. Is there more behind it?

You know, as much as this game gets flack for not being as good as the originals....I’m honestly glad to hear someone talk about Sly 4 in a positive light! Thieves in Time might have a lot of problems, but in the end it’s Sly Cooper! Thanks Vivi for your optimistic views towards the series, it gives me hope and something to look forward to.

My personal reading of this was that they were both apologizing for how they were in the 4th game only and that was it. A lot of what you said is pretty valid, especially the part about being near death is where you show your true feelings but remember in the end of the 3rd game, Sly actually was about to die when he was getting crushed by Dr. M's mutant primate. Back then he couldn't help but think about how he was never able to show his true feelings towards Carmelita because it was his destiny to be a master thief like all the Coopers before him which was something he was deeply sad about on the inside, finding out about how poorly Dr. M was treated by his father must've opened his eyes to how his legacy as a thief just wasn't worth it and when he got the chance to live a happy life with Carmelita he took it the way a thief would; by stealing it(his intended final theft I might add). Now it could be that Sanzaru Games decided not to have them share their feelings between each other in between games but's it's probably something to ask them about on Discord if I can find the chance to.

Between the two options I would go with the apologies. But i would rather go with this thirds one: Ever since i saw this scene, i've always had this conflict. The lines dont seem right. Its like they are on diferent Pages. So what i think that rolled out, and would make the sense out of Sly's line is this: Carmelita : Sly, I('m sorry) As she never finishes it, Sly thinks she's going to say "I'm scared." Because of the way they felt cornered early and even more now. So Sly cuts her off Sly: I know. Me too.

I think it was definitely both, Sly never had the chance to apologize properly for lying to her, and Carmelita regrets being hostile to him the time they were time traveling. And well, could be the last time they saw each other, both of them suck for wording their feelings, so this is the most they could say in the moment :'D I love these two so much, their relationship was one of my favorites in the childhood. Never forget how sly, about to get eaten by doctor M's monster in Sly 3 ,though about Carmelita and how much he loves her

When I first saw the scene in Sly Cooper thieves in Time, I took it as both of them apologizing for everything they did to each other. I would like to think that over the years they spent with each other for who knows how long since Sly Cooper honor among Thieves, that they knew they loved each other. Cuz, I can take it one step further by saying that, still had feelings for him even after confronting him about lying to her and saying that they are finished, but she didn't.

vtnvivi the main reason at times for my long hiatus asking you sly related questions is that at times I. had trouble coming up with new questions I didn't already ask you. here are my new ones since you're last Carmelita video. 1: you think that apergio and. la paradox owl take into account that the Cooper gang defeated the fiendish five so they shouldn't have underestimated them(not being sarcastic just wondering if they knew that)? 2:i'm surprised/shocked that Bently didn't do a background check on Penelope especially after she was reaveled to not only be using/working for la paradox, but was also the black knight in sly 4 episode 4 3:where jean bison and General Taso already smarter priorate meeting the copper gang then they originally thought? as we discussed before that they both found the gang's hideout a feat that no villain expect them had accomplished? 4:why did the original coper gang not try to mend their broken friendship as it seems/implies that sly's father never apologized to doctor m. over not treating him as an equal. which is further explained when doctor m and sly are nearing the end of their fight in the inner sanctum of the Cooper vault sly before doctor m interrupts him tells him that all coopers are different, doctor m refutes "funny you're father was never such a good friend." 5:what to all the enemies prior to sly defeating la paradox?. did they all get erased from existence? after the Cooper gang and Carmelita saved the world, if so will it cause possibly some major damage to the space time continuum?.

I'll go with the second option. They both had lied to each other, so they could be together. That wouldn't go far as a relationship where both would've lied and the other didn't know. So they had to get away from each other. Then sly pulled carmelita into this whole time traveling thing and he propably was really sorry for that. Carmelita had treated sly like mud and couldn't tell him her feelings. She possibly regretted it and in the end she apologized for all that.

I always had a fan Theory that Sly kid would save him In The end by going to the Cooper volt and getting one of the many artifacts to go back to ancient Egypt. How would Sly kid know because the Thievius Raccoonus. I'm sure Sly would leave a message in the Thievius Raccoonus to one of his descendants can travel back in time to save him if they need an artifact you can go to the Cooper volt and get the items for the era. But that's just my fan Theory & the reason I really like this idea is so we can see some characters from the future we already seen a lot of characters from the past.

I'd still would like to know how Carmelita managed to get sly a clean slate to begin with, one of the most wanted men on interpol's list. must've taken a lot of string pulling to get him off the hook that easily possibly even putting her entire career on the line fro him. then sly thanks her by going back to thieving? doesn't matter he had to go back to the past to save his lineage, before bently showed up he was planning on robbing the museum anyway... it just gets me, thinking he's finally with the woman of his dreams and he was willing to throw all that away just to scratch an itch.
