Clover had a large following on TikTok and other social media platforms, she decided to stream on Twitch recently SO her community from other social media have come to support her. The ones in the comments complaining about her are the toxic ones we don't like to be around. People being jealous for no reason, people bullying for no reason. To be fair, I wouldn’t say that for these people, that they are jealous for no reason. People who take it too personal, or who try to gain recognition. Then this person comes in and gets views. Then they just kind of snap? People be getting frustrated or exhausted that they are trying as much as they can, but not getting anything out of return. I don’t know what they are like, but some people can actually get passive-aggressive jealous. Then you get people who are just really paranoid or suspicious on the get-go. And the trolls who just want to be a nuisance. I’m not in the V-Tuber community and this is the first time I’ve heard of her. I don’t have anything against them, and I think their avatar is rather cute. But there is just no way that people are being jealous for no reason. Some of those people kind of suck enough, that they decide to take their jealousy out on others instead of dealing with it in a healthy way.

I do think luck was involved in a teeeeeny tiiiiny bit at least over on tiktok, their first video popped up on my FYP back when it was their ONLY video, and even then it was doing really well. Clovers content is adorable (including Clover themselves), and a lot of hard work of course and that effort should not be discredited in the slightest.
@SalviAlmighty2 ай бұрын
Exactly my thought. Clover absolutely put in the works and deserve the recognition! But saying luck had NOTHING to do with it is a bit naive. Seeing the amount of people who bust their butts all day everyday and never get noticed by algorithms is proof enough. YES, you need to work hard BUT there's also some amount of luck. No one knows what will suddenly go viral online.
@comajuice15 күн бұрын
It's not necessary luck, tiktok has an algorithm based on keeping a viewers attention for a percentage of the video. So if something is shorter, catches attention, etc it spreads. That's what they did. It's how I managed to get my videos picked up by the algorithm as well. You need to keep people long enough on your video, and catch their attention quickly enough to not make them scroll away immediately.

as someone who works full time in social media on the corporate side (and part time on the indie creator side), i think this is a fascinating case of someone understanding social media so quickly and using it to their advantage. and they’re clearly passionate about their content which really goes a long way when building an audience!! i am a numbers and stats nerd so i love seeing analytics, but i have seen many content creators get in their heads about the numbers bc they think they’re not growing fast enough or someone else is doing better than them. while numbers can be important metrics to measure growth, i believe that the context that informs those numbers is more important. i understand that for many their content is an extension of themselves so it can be hard to take a step back when they’re so personally invested, but zooming in on the numbers without looking at the bigger picture is ultimately detrimental. i didn’t have an ending thought to this essay but uh great video kat! i always love hearing your thoughts on topics and discussions like this ❤

Listen, I found Clover at the beginning of their journey. They are absolutely sweet and precious. I’m super happy for them! They deserve this! This isn’t Clover’s fault AT ALL. Now, I made a post, not about clover, but in general. I’ve been streaming for almost 2 years. Here recently, the Vtubing community has been SOO negative. I have tried BUSTING my butt, fighting shadow bans, and so much more. I still can’t help but being jealous. Especially with tweets going around saying things like they won’t watch people if the voice doesn’t match the character. It’s very heartbreaking. Watching people you started streaming with grow, while you sit and try everything you can and not grow. It’s so discouraging when this happens. It’s hard being kind to yourself when you’ve been trying so so so hard. I’ve cried, debated quitting, and so forth. At the end of the day, whether I grow or not, I enjoy what I do. I enjoy playing games and sharing my POV. I am who I am and nothing will change that. Behind the character I am human and human emotions will happen. That being said, good for you clover! Keep on doing what you’re doing!

People are weird. It's clear the growth came from the fact that they are popular on other platforms. Having another avenue to support their fave content creator clearly meant that those numbers were going to reflect on a place that their audience likely frequents as well. Big ups to Clover because growing naturally on Twitch is actually so hard, so for them to have an avenue where they succeeded and to have it carry over is huge!
@brandonhowell50963 ай бұрын
It doesn't really make it any less luck to get good numbers like that I've seen multiple people go to streaming, in a similar way as Clover, and are no better off then people with no prior following.
@TheBlackHylian3 ай бұрын
@brandonhowell5096 well yes. I also said this on another one of Kat's videos with a similar subject but when you do go into content creation, you are also promoting yourself a brand. If you don't appeal to people as strongly, you won't carry over momentum. Yes, there is luck sometimes, as you and your content could be lightning in a bottle, but that wasn't exactly the case here. Clover just subconsciously has a good grasp on how to promote themselves as a brand on social media and carry on as their most genuine self at all times. It's a blessing in disguise.
@TheBlackHylian3 ай бұрын
This one was more like, she saw that a storm was coming with her content and when she made the jump into said storm, she had a bottle in tow just because she was drinking out of it if the analogy makes sense.

Clover is so sweet and so wholesome. I love her content and I'm so happy for her. I know I struggled to get affiliate so I'm so happy for those I see on social media who also hit affiliate because I know how much of a journey it can be. As much as I struggled I had to keep telling myself that everyone's journey is different and when it's my turn it'll happen and it did. It also helped having a mod who helped me network and connect me with other like minded people (other vtubers, gamers and streamers) who I got to know and we helped hype each other up in one another's streams, liked and shared each other's posts and just helped show much love and support to each other. Even if you don't have a mod it's no problem. Find other content streamers that you like and sit in on their streams, VODs or youtube videos. Chat in their chats, comment stuff you like or funny moments in their videos. You'll get noticed and that's how you help grow your presence and get to know others who can also help you out, even if it's just cheering you on and celebrating your wins, in positive ways. Y'all who are looking to one day get affiliate on Twitch, you got this. ❤

I only recently got back into streaming mostly on Twitch, late december last year, and this was like my 2nd stream on KZbin. I was so floored by those numbers that I did a post in shock. Think of streaming averages like grades, it’s not too unbelievable for someone to have a 100 average the first week of school, but requires more work the longer you do it. Now I don’t think this creator is similar to me in how they got their CC, but like it’s not that insane to have a high CC in the first few streams.

SO basically... brainrot and suggestive videos can stay untouched? But when it's about a person who has just grown their content normally without all these fake contents for money, then it's weird looking? 2024 ladies and gentleman, the drama continue!

Yeah she is making it sound worse then for what it is, everyone just seems confused on how they grew so fast, I don't think it is hate.

@@zoekittenxvx57 lol I took a look at some of the comments myself and it absolutely comes off as hate. Someone's celebrating milestones and the VERY FIRST THING a good amount of these people are doing are saying it has to be bots? No research, no framing it as a question or asking around, just straight up saying she's botted herself? Hate doesn't have to be name calling and personal attacks, they're being terrible.

@@BZ1610 Did you see the ones congratulating her on her success? They are confused and skeptical, I get alot can be mean but from the ones she showed were nice and confused, and calling that bullying is just wrong, they just need to be informed about where her following came from and they would understand, and people hate, it is nothing new.. But making innocent people out to be bad is cruel.

@@zoekittenxvx57 You are 100% on someone's payroll. I saw the positive comments zoekitten, I also saw the haters. I'm not going off of katliente's video only, I went myself to read the comments and quotes because I possess brain cells and media literacy. And they were definitely hating. That is not innocent. I'm not saying they're iredeemably terrible people, I'm saying that it's an awful thing to do to make assumptions, go out of their way to be disingenuous in their praise, to immediately resorting to downplaying and discounting Clover's success. There's a difference between being curious and being a hater. If they wanted to be informed, it's not okay to be trashy in her comments. In 2024, you'd think they would put energy into learning how to google or ACTUALLY look into her accounts. Maybe if they had that much foresight, they wouldn't be stagnant in their career growth.

@@BZ1610 Hey can you chill for a sec with the whole payroll thing, I am just trying to figure this out and I can't find the original post. And seriously? I get it but I am saying that some seem skeptical and probably seen way too much of botting around to know the difference. Or they don't know about the other accounts. I am just learning about this from the comments alone.

Success on another platform is not guaranteed. I’ve seen creators with thousands, millions struggle. Furthermore I stream and create on KZbin, my views differ massively between them So success on the same platform is not guaranteed 😂

It's cause they're all jealous lil babies. That's why people hate with no reason, they're sad and insecure about their own lives and translate that into anger and hate against everyone else in the world.

Actually most are skeptical not hating, just confused because it usually takes a year or more to blow up like this I think

@@zoekittenxvx57 Do the haters have you on their payroll? You sound like the beginnings of many of the toxic individuals in the vtuber community. Stop downplaying terrible behavior. If anyone of them had a decent bone in their body they'd simply look into the character and it's OBVIOUS why Clover was successful. Imagine putting effort into being awful instead of their own content? RIP.

@@BZ1610 Is it ok to call confused people haters? I am just saying it is obvious to me that everyone is focusing more on the hate rather then the confused people who want to understand and are very nice. Did you forget about those congratulating Clover? They seem skeptical and confused, are they haters too? That is what I am talking to everyone about, separate the confused from the haters. And no I am not defending any haters, I am defending the innocent and confused.

@@BZ1610 And FIY I am not downplaying anything, I am just stating the obvious: People are looking for hate rather than ways to help the community understand that Clover got them from other social medias. How is that toxic? Do you prefer they focus on the haters?
@BZ16103 ай бұрын
@@zoekittenxvx57 Get a grip. Seriously. Even in this video the positive people were showcased. This is SPECIFICALLY addressing the people that were hating. Know the difference. If it doesn’t apply, let it fly, no one who was genuinely happy and expressed positive and well wishes for Clover is going to feel bad by what anyone says because it does not apply to them. We aren’t looking for hate, it was right there, for everyone to see. Just like Clover’s other accounts were in plain view and no one took the time to click and see before spouting off negativity. No one asked you to defend them and you’re doing a really strange job. Why should all of us do the labor of educating people who won’t even educate themselves?

Everyone could have had the same success if they only did what clover did... if we weren't balls of anxiety and self doubt...😅 Learn from Clover. If you want success then do the work, don't just go in and hope for the best. Or yknow just go into twitch without much expectation just be you and slowly build up a more refined stream full of people you actually want to interact with and feel safe with.
