No Terms have been broken on either platform, yet both Twitch and YT make up reasons to justify their wrongful terminations and bans of these VTubers. I’m not sure what can be done in terms of a lawsuit, but I’d say we are reaching a point where we might have to consider that option.

I’m confident that IS the reason she was banned concerning YT’s TOS. Her main channel was affiliated with another that had recently got banned. The problem lies that her VODs channel never should have gotten banned in the first place. It was falsely copyright claimed, and since she didn’t want to reveal her private information, she decided to just let it be banned.

I find this very off activity in the KZbin community. Firstly MxR plays get copyright striked for an old video, and being ghosted by KZbin staff in trying to solve the problem. Ultimately terminating all MxR channels, and even went after Gini (Potastic P) for no reason just for being a duo creator of MxR and terminated her channel. And this happens with Ironmouse not so long after? I don’t think it’s just a coincidence, something is happening with KZbin that is very weird.

I saw a tweet that was theorizing that all this is happening to ironmouse is because of Kaicenat's community. Last year when Mouse won the game awards people were sending death threats to her because either she is a vtuber AND because Kaicenat didn't win. And now since that tweet that showed that Mouse is top subbed on twitch and Kai is second this also spew a lot of hate and death threats to her as well.

I'm not super well versed on the info but if i remember correctly there is like some concentrated effort to de-platform her by a bunch of different groups of people. There was so award she won over another streamer named Kai cenat. After that his entire community and adjacent communities went after her. Theres also the usual people that go after vtubers and women in general. And then the infectious spread of those people finding like minded people. So it's easy to assume that the wider issue is the bad actors as i mentioned before. People like andrew tate and his ilk infecting so many people as of late could also be blamed for this. I is not a zero percent chance that the person or people involved in this think women mean nothing.

Lawsuit could be possible, I do recall there being one against Tumblr a few years back for a very similar reason (accounts would be targeted for mass reporting, usually black or trans bloggers and the blogs would end up terminated as a result) Suit also revealed that there was moderation openly *assisting* and helping with said targeting if I remember things properly.

The one who puts out the copyright strike against a tuber should have to justify their clane and be available for fallow up questioning by youtube. It's nuts that a group or individual can just put out copyright against a content creator and not have to do any fallow up and can remain under the radar. KZbin even admits strikes are made out of spite but doesn't do due diligence to fallow up very well and doesn't do much if any customer support for the streamers. Some channels have even been copyright strikes for being short cuts of their main channel and the main channel can't even be allowed to say "oh no, that channel is totally fine to use my content. Because my team owns that channel". Also I know it's supposed to be a 3 strike policy on some web pages but it seems others are just one and done now ?!?!?

Newbie here and fellow vtuber enjoyer. As for Zen's warning for her swimsuit, her body was obscured from view. There was a translucent black shadow of herself in a pink background with barely any detail on her. Popularity shouldn't be a factor in helping right a wrong that was imposed on someone whether or not someone does not like vtubers or one vtuber specifically. People already had to work their butts off to even get partner status, the partner thing also is a factor here. Anyway, the fact this is still happening is mind numbing. Bias and double standards out the wazoo. You can be a normie but don't yuck people's yum if it hurts no one. I'm not able to check out most of Mouse's streams live as much now and regularly have to rely on clips from several other channels or highlights on her main channel. I was already confused about the whole VOD channel thing and found this out on the 20th adding MORE confusion. Something has to be done and it has to be more than just Twitch and YT saying they'll do something (or they don't and flat out reject you immediately) and not paying their end of the bargain, or both platforms roll out bans or slapping warnings (IF AL ALL) regardless if someone's actually showing lewd content or is just doing harmless non lewd ASMR and it's just positive affirmations to help out viewers with whatever things they deal with in their everyday. Things have to change.

It’s both. A stalker is most likely trying to get Mouse’s personal information, AND YT is assisting in that by targeting VTubers and taking away their livelihood. The stalker knows YT will side with the copyrighter, so they falsely claim her channels in hopes of getting her information.

From what I understand the VOD channel was removed for copywrite abuse (wonder when KZbin will deal with that housefire) and the main channel was then hit for ban evading (since she is currently dealing with the VOD channel issue). The problem is that she's currently having issues with contesting the claim since the claimant can see your private data when you file a claim, however you can use a lawyer as a proxy in this case. For some reason though KZbin isn't accepting it in this case and it's causing delays. My guess would be her posting the music video while this was ongoing caused a flag for KZbin and they shot without thinking (quite possibly literally as it might be automated). While favouritism cannot be ruled out (and isn't improbable) the main issue as always is their copywrite system favouring the aggressor and giving them your info or losing your livelihood.

I think I can tell why Fallenshadow (Shondo) and Zen got those punishments. Shondo mentioned that she thought about /kill @ s (iykyk) when she had her drinks. Idk if there was something else that happened, but I remember watching the clip from FalseEyed’s VTuber news video (hopefully I got the name right). I think Zen got her warning because she went into her swimsuit, but it was a silhouettes, so maybe that raised the flag saying the full moon is out. Still weird because you have IRL streamers who are 90% commando. As for Ironmouse… yeah her channels got targeted. It’s really sad and I pray they are able to sort things out, but if she’s better off protecting her PII (personally identifiable information) than trying to get both her channels back. Mousey getting targeted and banned in the middle of a subathon is an Interesting Coincidence. I know a lot of vtubers, and they deal with so much more than their fair share of ToS cherry-picking. Even those who work with/for a corporation can't escape the insane double standards, and it's exhausting. Something about people streaming with an avatar versus their own face seems to put a target on their back, and I've never understood why -- we've had people doing that for as long as we've had streaming video, whether it's faceless voiceover commentary, people playing a role in reviews, or someone with a PNG representation. I don't know anyone who doesn't worry about this to some extent... I'm not even a vtuber and it stresses me out, especially knowing that when something does inevitably happen, you will be hung out to dry by the platform for whom you're creating content. There is some sort of content enforcement bias at work here, and I don't think it's going to get better any time soon.

My speculation on why her main channel got banned was mainly due to the VODs channel being banned because in KZbins eyes it would be seen as ban evasion and YT takes there Ban Evades very STRICTLY and Vtubers from the past 3 months alone have been getting targeted by Twitch and KZbin so much now from Vtuber clip channels getting taken down Vtuber ASMR channels getting taken as well its just not a good year for the Vtubing community atm.

The KZbin thing is something that doesn't hit just vtubers, but it hits them harder for privacy reasons. I remember the discussion going on for years, basically everybody can just say that stuff in a video is copyrighted, and the creator has to appeal that claim, and to do that they basically have to give their name, address etc, to the one that claimed the copyright, even if that person has no leg to stand on. Given that vtubers are even more protective of their privacy, given their status as a person behind and avatar, it makes total sense that Ironmouse would not want to give her information to who knows who, and rather let her channel get deleted. Maybe her taking KZbin to court (at least she has the financial needs) will finally change something about how KZbin basically enforces DMCA on the back of their creators, while the claimant can do whatever they want.

One factor that has the wheels in my head turning is that this while I can't say if VTubers are a major share of KZbin's revenue, they are fairly large and growing subcategory on Twitch. If Twitch's aim was to eventually remove that entire group it would hit them pretty hard in their bottom-line. In most businesses the objective is to grow your income so this would be like shooting ones self in the foot. My guess is that there is a larger financial danger that these companies are worried about and see taking down VTubers is the smaller loss. Follow the money.

I think in the case of Ironmouse, her rising to the top subscribed channel on Twitch made her a target for some freak(s). I guess a vtuber being this popular makes someone really mad. I think this will be eventually fixed, as it makes completely no sense, but... in situations like this I always think about some small creators who have similar thing happen to them, and well... they just stay banned, because they have no company or lawyers behind them and people abusing the system win.
