I'm watching this at 4am. I need to watch this because this 2022 I've been saying 'yes' a lot committing to things that scare me. As I sat in the first team meeting, recently, it hit me that when it was Africa's turn to speak the African representative in the team is me. As a black woman that never got recognition in corporate South Africa I'm still learning to get to terms with being recognized in Europe and occupying space in a European team. My brother Vusi thank you very much for these podcasts, you have no idea the impact you are making.

That moment you went back into the boat and said “I felt like such a loser”…. Aaaagh Vusi! I felt that… Coz I’ve been there. My first attempt of sky diving, I refused to jump and went on a free ride…. I felt like such a failure, it was a debilitating story to tell that I hardly shared. That moment of not jumping haunted me for years until I went back and did it 😁… 11 thousand feet high I did it and so proud…. The thing I realize it’s the weight that moment of not having the courage carries, it was so heavy…

I just felt like it was one of those stories given by your elders where firewood's gathered because of how I laughed and also drew lessons from it. You always are a great orator Mr. Vusi. How you easily make fun of yourself makes it even more relatable to personal experience and gets rid of the shame too.
