VW 1.8t 20v engine build, head assembly.

Like the title says, assembling this 20v head, also assessing this valve master tool for putting the keepers on more efficiently.

I know the guy who made that tool and I got to check it out ...it's foreign when you first try it but then you get the hang of it

I wonder if the issue with the tool is the angle and it needs to be really straight and align with the valve to work properly. Many thanks for the vid!

I usually use lithium grease to makr keepers stay in place

What overhead tool are you using? I like that it looks like you’re able to configure both sides of the pivot on that one

does any one no which way those springs go in they look the same up and down i heard the clors go up but then taking them off my other head some clor was up some was down...

May I ask why you are using stock valves after all this work you have put in?

I'm actually not, I've decided to pull the head back off to put some ferrea +1's in it after reading a lot of horror stories about dropped valves in these engines. I was trying to keep it a budget build, but you know how that goes.

Where can you buy a tool like that?? Seems a lot easier than doing it any other way?
