Very impressive for city. I usually achieve this only on long drives. What's more impressive is the load during acceleration, rpm didn't touch 2k at 98kph.

My passat B8 1.8 CL can archive 5.6l/100 km. I am not surprised this car can do better than mine.

My B8 if drive normal speed like this can usually do abt 6L/100km...no surprise this can do better wt the cyclinder diactivation etc...

Managed to get 5.9l/100km going back and forth Kelantan in a Tiggy last weekend.. Full tank can go up-to 1000km.. Average speed around 75++kmh

Rent Socar passat b4. Indeed very very fuel efficient at 100kmh to 120kmh. But cannot tahan owh. U feel like u drive myvi at 60kmh. So damn slow. In the end, cruise 140kmh to 160kmh, and that still not feel fast at all. Lol. Yes, this big cars can get excellent fuel economy but a bit hard to sustain.

An average of 11.2 cents per km for this 2.0 premium marque is impressive. Makes you enlightened how modern premium vehicles are not as fuel guzzling as perceived in old era. Also the cabin sound so quite especially it coast with rpm below 1k. Crazy

Some of the reasons for purchasing include costs, so cheap cars are always a must. But the newer and bigger cars are evenmore economical than the low end cars because of the technology.

Not sure, I think they do - depends - it must have DCC feature to have it. My 2015 Golf has it.

Not sure. My 2015 Golf R has it, so maybe it is. You can test it by lifting off on throttle at , say 100 kmh, then see if the revs drop to below 1000 rpm.

Ya definitely but we dont hv a tdi here in msia...wat a shame. The are lots passat tdi in turkey when i visit there back in 2019. Most of the cars there are diesels,...vw/renaults/seat/skoda/pug/ mazda/merc/audi/beemer...mostly diesels
