Far less talking as promised this time. Managed to get it all out without too much issue. It hasn't been bad so far. Looking forward to getting my new stuff. Please leave a comment or any questions if you have any. Cheers!

You did a really nice job on the dash pad removal.. I had a 68 (my first bug) and I had to repaint it so I went with a metallic chocolate brown.. It reminded me of yours.. Thx for sharing your adventures with us... Take care my friend...

Hello, is it possible to replace this newer with the metal dashboard only ?
@surlycrosscheck13 жыл бұрын
The metal dash is under the pad. Later model that had the pad just have extra holes cut so that the dash pads and later vents could be put in place. If you want that pre-dashpad look, you just have to fill the holes in. That’s a lot of work to do it correctly but it’s been done a thousand times by a thousand people so it “easily” done in that sense. I just wanted to keep it stock. Steel dash looks great too.

Where did you order your new dash from? And what year is your bug? I know you didn't like your first video and think you talked too much. I found the video very informative and I thought you did an excellent job!

Thanks for watching. It's a '69. I bought the dash from WCM. It's all in Episode #3
