I would expect the kickdown to override all eco settings.

Acceleration is adequate 🙂; the main limitation of the e-Up is the slow charging 😞. Thanks for posting.

Its not slow ! I charging 80 % in 20-25 min...

Really good video ! Keep it UP !!

Thanks for the video. Little criticism: No summary of all times in a table at the end. Not all modes tested without kickdown. Kickdown is always full throttle.

Geht ganz gut der kleine Up. Und die Dichtung in der Tür ist auch wieder drin ;)

@@BatteryLife Hatte ich dir ja im Prag Video gesagt das da was nicht stimmt. So ist das mit den Presse Autos wo jeder darauf herum reitet ;)

How often will you need full regeneration in real life ? Maybe in the alps going down on a long down hill section. Still: e-Up uses all the e-Golf tech and then the e-Golf is the far better offer - in the long run. Real family car without compromise and an adult car, lot more space, better seats and a lot more features on board from the base line on like center screen and so on. Drive both cars after each other and you feel the difference from the second you open the door.

I love strong regen. One pedal driving is my thing ;)

Did you try the same test with 100% soc? it might be a little bit better...
@typxxilps4 жыл бұрын
Has no effect - at least on e-Golf which has a lot of similiar or same components like battery, but e-up engine is a bit smaller, not a 100 kW one. And running 100% can effect the regen cause high amount of power in short time is not what a battery loves a high SOC. You may remember that the last % of a full charge take a lot longer than the % up to 80% SOC or 90% SOC. Therefore the idea of supercapacitors appeared cause they can take a huge amount of energy in a short time and then charge that energy into the battery with lower amperes in a longer time to prolonge the battery life. We might see such solutions depending on price of massproduced huge capacitors ... Works only if they become a lot cheaper. Best benefit during city traffic or areas with steep slopes in both directions and curves where you need to regen going down hill. In City traffic the most efficient solution is by anticipating the traffic ahead and to adjust by simply rolling without regen / brakes. Regeneration or brings just roughly 66% of the invested energy back.

No, I didn't try it again. But it didn't feel different to me.

Could you explain what you mean with "using the kickdown button"? I always thought "kickdown" just meant stomping on the pedal as hard as you can to make an automatic transmission shift into a lower gear for better acceleration. But this car only has one gear? And now there's a button of some sort?
@typxxilps4 жыл бұрын
He kicks the pedal down through the firewall ... full throttle. There are no gears.
@BatteryLife4 жыл бұрын
A lot of EVs have a button on the accelerator pedal when you push it.
@streetwind.4 жыл бұрын
@@BatteryLife Are you sure "button" is the right word? Not like a... hump of resistance you need to push through?

You can call it what you want ;)

@@streetwind. It's easier to type "Button" than "Hump of resistance".
