I’m currently battling a misfire on cylinder #3 on my 1.8 gen 3. I did a compression test on all cylinders and they are all at 180 psi. I have no other codes except for p0303. With my obd11 I checked the misfire recognition and it is in fact number 3 that’s misfiring consistently. Could it be a safe diagnosis be an injector issue?

Are these injectors the same as the gen 1 CCTA engine?

Do you have any clue where to buy the intermediate ring?

did you look at the intake valves for carbon? I can't imagine how carbon would get on intake valves, but why I ask is the dealer just quoted 7000 for occasional EPC injector 1 no signal repair. their solution was new injectors 2700, scrape carbon off intake valves ,460, new harness 400 and replace computer 3000.ox sensor too plus tax. since it seems to happens when hot im guessing only the computer is sensitive to that, but will start with injectors. plus 158 for the scan.

@@Getttouttt yes. Because of cheap fuel in the United States and nobody ever performs ultrasonic cleaning of injectors every 50k miles. You must replace all 4. DON’T try to replace just one. Make sure to get all seals and gaskets. Make sure to use only OEM injectors and buy the harness at the same time. Because 9 times out of 10 harness breaks and can cause misfires. You won’t even see where since it’s all inside a wiring loom.
