Still no bi-directional charging or V2L / V2G planned from VW on our ID vehicles ? BTW your Walter experience led me to buying our ID3 in December 2021...a nice drive but the software is suboptimal (being polite) its in the VW dealer today as the main infotainment screen is faulty (keeps rebooting and cycling on / off) keep up the great work and "info-taining" reviews :)

Yes there is? On ID.3 Pro S models there has been for almost a year now (DC V2X) I presume the GTX will be the exact same. Awesome car!

V2H is on 77kwh cars , has been for a while.

@@johnw65uk ah but Vehicle to X is only "capable" there is no VW or any other inverter to have installed at home to make use of the 77 kwH battery cell in your VW for running your home, at least V2L even cheap Chinese EV's (MG) have it so you can run your tumble dryer (in winter) or your Electric Ninja BBQ (in summer) but a theoretical capability that the 77 KwH VW's may have is not useful or usable, just sits on a spec sheet so an engineer in Germany can say "I have done my bit" where is the implementation to make it useful & usable ?

That’s almost 200km more highway range than EX30 RWD long range. Very nice. Bigger battery doesn’t explain all of that. 0.263 vs 0.28 drag coefficient (6.4% difference) helps too. VWs new electric motor has to be significantly more efficient as well.

I personally don’t see a big difference. Hard to distinguish between them in highway as the big shape is identical. Back and side looks pretty much the same. Front has different details. I would just pick the one which is cheaper at the moment (different campaigns).

At 100% SOC what is voltage ~402 V like 77 kWh (12 module battery) or higher like 58 kWh battery? Or lower? I want to determine how is the 79 kWh battery configuration.

Come back to Switzerland in the snow then tell us how the RWD does. My bet is it will reduce your amazing count.

Also, compare with a GTI or R on that mountain pass roads, just to reduce even more of the "amazing" count.😂

The RWD IDs do just fine in the snow. They have better weight distribution than a Golf for example.
