1:57 logic would dictate that if someone asks "Height of trunk from the ground?", they want know how high the loading area is of the boot from the ground, not how high the boot opens.

I think that no company is interested in making a sub £25k decent range EV anymore (Tesla dropped this idea recently too), combined with the ever decreasing gov grant it makes me wonder if the push is more towards public transport ect for the masses, as running an ICE car is becoming unaffordable for some already. These cues just makes one think, isn't the gap between the rich and the poor getting ever bigger? Travel poverty ...

Car companies should only have the electric boot as an option. If it is standard fit, any dog owner will steer away. The ID4 looks ok, but £50k is a terribly high price for quite a bit of plastic.

Great review Tish looking good, I’m a little confused tho, you said the ID.4 GTX was 125KW but a recent update increased it to 135KW leaving it significantly behind Tesla’s 210KW but 335KW flashed up on the screen, can you clarify the charging speed please?

Hey Tish, still find it odd that VW are using GTX as that is an oil brand (Castro GTX) 😂 Also, I’m a fan of the new graphics for measurements, would you be able to add the height from the floor to the boot floor measurement ad this is important for people with dogs to see if they can get their pooch to jump in ok - some SUVs are quite high up! Nice one and thanks again! 👍🏻

imagine paying twice the price of a normal car, then having twice the inconveniences of waiting at charge stations like it’s a bus stop, then the most infuriating touch screen controls and fiddly slidey things, and a super cheap low quality interior. Nah you’re alright mate I'll give it another ten years. Tish was being fairly optimistic about that user interface too...

Trouble is ev’s in general get significantly better quite quickly. So take id3 will have a rest next year with better materials MEB cars will have upwards of 400 mile range and 200 kWh charging. Glad I’m waiting tbh

Dam the gtx interior looks so cheap... and for 50k, wow, I wouldn't buy it at all. Others brand like hyundai ionic5 or ev6 from Kia are much better looking.

Skoda does the interior a lot better with the Enyaq. I was not that impressed with the interior of the Ioniq 5, but I liked other aspects of that car.

The commenter was asking about the load height, not how high the boot goes. At $65k USD why isn't the hatch power opened/closed and height adjustable? Oh right, it's a VW and they cut corners everywhere. Vehicles that cost half as much have that feature.

You did not mention why you would buy this car against any other car? A comparison to the Model Y? Really? The GTX charges slower (that's if you find a charger) has less range, AND is slower? Its a GTX (GTi) so what gives? The little fire tablets glued on the dash? If I spend 50k I buy an electric car, not a limited edition to earn certificates to clean up my ICE car production.
