Nice work! I just swapped a gt3071r onto my built 1.8t and the thing rips!! Just on the 93 tune I made 375 to the wheel and with the e85 tune should be in the mid 4s on eurodyne!!

Nice work bro, just remember to clean the block first then install crank, piston and caps. If you clean afterwards chances are that you will have some of that silicone gunk go into areas u don't want. That pickup tube will be stuffed and the engine will die from lack of oil pressure.

What's the name of that manifold in the front of the motor I've been looking for one of those for a while I'm new to the vw upgrade world and I see that all the high horsepower Jetta have it.. I eventually want a 500 horsepower jetta just finished all the suspension and now want to move to what this video jus showed me building the bottom end and turbo yeah I've herd it all cause I have a 2.sloow but i want to change that thanks for the video though bro i really appreciate it

all cleaning of motor should be done before any assembly as you done need shit in motor that means gasket,thread holes and casting all cleaned before assembly
@mclaking54204 жыл бұрын
I did notice you didn’t use the oil baffle when putting the bottom end back together. Was it not needed?

Hello! May i ask if setup with 1.8T + GT2871R is capable of making safe +/- 400 hp? Of course with the rest required equipment including injectors, exhaust etc. I am just upgrading my Audi TT and i wonder which turbo could i use to achieve the final 400hp.
@VdubInParadise5 жыл бұрын
Marcin Wach A GT3071R should easily suit your needs. We are going to see what can be achieved with a gt2871r setup, then upgrade when we can. I was thinking high 300s with a 2871r.

Why did you use oem head bolts and not upgraded apr of your going big turbo amd upgraded valves and springs
@VdubInParadise5 жыл бұрын
Shipping costs cut our budget so we couldn't get some upgraded parts...head bolts shouldn't be a problem though. We can upgrade to those parts in the future if we find a big port AEB head.
@hellaflushhonda5 жыл бұрын
@@VdubInParadise dang I just put apr on my awp head probably should've waited to get a aeb haha and damn the godspeed hasn't given you any problems? I'm going ebeay turbo gt30 but have been kinda scared to use the eBay's waste gates, but this one's been ok for you?
@VdubInParadise5 жыл бұрын
@@hellaflushhonda Previous owner of the ebay wastegate reported no problems..for now we'll see how it does when the car is up and running. As for turbos, ebay brand i'd stay away. They do well for low boost like on hondas but if you're doing over 20 psi, it wont last long.
