I noticed the higher boost causes spark blow out. I had the same issue. Actually still having the issue. Dropped my gap on plugs to .022 and that’s helping. Now currently i am having issue with crank position sensor I believe. I am gonna install new cps and see if it stops sputtering (also 30 psi) also may adjust the wastegate to get the pressure down.

What were you air/fuel readings like? Did running added boost run the engine lean or can the computer and stock injectors compensate? Would love to up the boost on my mk4 gti but unsure if the stock tune can adjust fueling?

Hello!! I installed the Aem tru boost controller and I have a problem with the waste..it does not free the boost . I configured to A 17 PSI and pass throw it up to 30 PSI peak..I don’t know what’s a wrong with it

K04 is a decent upgrade. Just need to make sure you get the k04 model that fits the stock manifold. If not, then you will need to replace the manifold as well to make it fit.

Hey man, this is probably a stupid question that's self explanatory but with a mbc/ebc you can turn the boost up, correct? My car has a tune from four seasons, (2000 cosmic green gti full bolt on) but only makes 15 psi. So with a mbc/ebc I can turn the boost up to 25psi for example, right?

Scott Smith Yes it’ll turn up the boost. Only issue I would say is that you would need supporting mods to increase the boost. Like turbo inlet pipe, upgraded intercooler, etc...most of the stock parts are very restrictive.

How is the additional fuel needed for this get sent to the motor? Does the boost controller tell the ECM to supply more, how about timing, etc. The tune is already written on the ECM and set as so correct? You can't modify that, so you're essentially just fine tuning the flash that's already on the ECU? Hope that makes sense.@@VdubInParadise

Suave Hoops Nope...AWD ecu is still in the GTI. This Jetta comes stock with an AWP ecu that’s wideband.

Yes. The ecu will get feedback from separate sensors and adjust.

Hello, love the videos, but i noticed something very important that you are doing wrong. You have an immensely modified car, you MUST BE running a 1 step colder spark plug, you should be using a ngk pfr7q platinum. Iriduim causes problems like preignition and will mess up spark plugs and oil gets super dirty after only 1500-2000 miles despite running full synthetic. I hope it helps.
