VW MK6 GTI Engine and Transmission Mount Upgrade BFI Mounts Dog Bone Bushing Replacement 2010-2014

How to upgrade the stock engine and transmission mounts to BFI Black Forest Industries mounts, I will also show how to upgrade the bushings on the dog bone mount. This upgrade is done on a Volkswagen MK6 GTI. This is also applicable on the MKV/MKVI platforms with the 2.0 TSI Engine. Applicable years 2010-2014.

Have you seen the vacuum pump on the tsi fail. I’ve seen lots of write ups and tutorials on mk5 but nothing on mk6

My mark6 has a nasty vibration i feel it in the shifter what can it be bro

Yea, there is a slight vibration at idle due to the stiffer mounts. The engine definitely feels more study when shifting, it's more noticeable when I downshift.

It reduces the engine flex. The stock mounts are made of soft rubber, which causes the engine to move a lot, when doing any sort of aggressive driving.

You'll need to support the engine before you remove the mounts, and my car is too low to fit a jack under it to support the engine without first jacking the car up.
