I believe that little fitting is an air bleed to help prevent cooler damage when bleeding the cooling system

@@gregs_garage one question please and excuse my average english! EGR in these engines works also like throttle body by regulating the amount of air that goes into the engine. when deleting it all the air goes into the block. is that normal?

@@ikosimisimo3363 the air cutoff valve is called Anti-Shudder (ASV). It is beside the EGR valve. It cuts the air off to allow the engine to shut down without shaking. It also can cut air to prevent engine runaway. It was eliminated here. Engine shakes a bit on shutdown and I don't have runaway protections.

I did a full EGR assembly, intake swirlers, and DPF delete on my MK-6 JSW TDI with replacing CP-4 with a CP-3 fuel and Kerma TDI intake airbox delete. For any VW/Audi, European or any diesel including pickup trucks. Delete and remove the diesel emissions completely.

How should you handle this when the car does have coolant? Pinch off the lines and try not to let the cooler leak everywhere?

You could pinch lines. Easier to drain coolant and put new stuff in.

The bolts on mine wouldnt come out so i had to remove manifold to remove cooler sadly

so bypassing the coolant pipes from the egr cooler will effectively stop my leak no need to take it off?? and delete the egr job done?

yes you could just leave the cooler in place with the lines connected as I did. I removed it to clean up the back of the motor.

I’ve found two videos on KZbin for the egr delete on the mk5 BRM motor this shit is driving me insane I’ve taking my car to 4 shops and none of them will do the delete cause they can get a fine if they get caught I’m having extreme power loss issues and idk what to do about fixing it shit is driving me insane

power loss likely something else. Take it to an independent shop and have it identified.

Hi I don't know if you'd be able to help me. I had an egr delete done with blanking plates and since then I get a sweet curry smell when the heat is turned on. The coolant level also seems to drop very slowly. But there's no leaks on the floor or anything. Could this be due to a leak by the egr cooler pipes?

butter chicken? is the cooler still there just blocked off? Could be unrelated. could be coolant sensor see my Video on that. Check back of motor EGR/heater hose area for coolant.
