I have to say Darrin, I had to resubscribe (after unsubbing cuz I was tired of hearing you responding to all the drama) because YOU do have the best, most knowledgable videos on the aircooled VW motors. I truly appreciate the quality of the info you consistently give in your videos. You are THE VW GUY and a very valuable resource on KZbin.

I always enjoy building engines with you Darrin! The Ghia was out today romping in the sunshine! It doesn't like the high altitude yet. I need to rejet the carbs and it will be happier.

Hay Darrin I like your informational show I have a 76 bug and this one was the last one made in Australia.I didn’t have any relationship with my dad even though we were in the same home , I was scared of him in my upbringing as was my siblings and it affects your life then you have kids and they end affected also , but the best thing my parents did was send us kids to Sunday school and there is a god ,so take care I’ll continue to view your vw builds . I view ezgz builds also , if money permitting would enjoy making a trip out to you guys. Text soon 😊Harry.

Great to see the vid. I have a question...what do u mean by case cleranced and main being tight. How do u adjust it?. In earlier vid u explained how to clear cam bearing to prevent burn out, but i did not get the beginning info in this vid

Always like watching your videos. On your sump install, do you thread the stud in far enough to put a nut on it inside the case? Or just flush with the inside? Thanks and have a great day!

something that I can't tell for sure from the video, does the cup on the oil slinger washer go to the flywheel or to the pulley?
@richs84044 жыл бұрын
Darrin, what cam lube and engine oil do you use for assembly, and what oil do you run in general (brand and weight)?
@snocrushr5 жыл бұрын
👍👍
@greybeardsharpsword46265 жыл бұрын
FYI....you ARE installing the 6 main case sealing nuts on backwards. The red rubber/plastic seal is meant to create a crush seal between the nut and washer, not meant to act as a nylock. Same holds true for the nuts on the oil pumps.
@hankbultman45575 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I still hate the removal with seal separated from the nut. Seal side down. Case has o rings for sealing main caps.
