A pretty intricate city map by Mortis. I really like the indoor dining area with the booths and curtains. You can find more of their work in DBP 58, 60, 62 & 64. Some random info about this map from development: - The player is able to access the exit to the map right away by jumping from the water pool to the east onto the zeppelin platform. - The BFG was added by the project lead right before release probably as a reward for players who make the jump. - The little side quest in this map is the origin of Arturo the cat.

23:03 I'm glad you rewound for the gear shooting secret. Not saying it was obvious or anything (I also didn't notice the blue door, and then that BFG non-secret was even worse), but it was my first thought once you saw what was the last secret and noticed the inset sector with a unique wall texture blinking. So it was rewarding to have it confirmed by rewinding. I'm still surprised by this wad. The fights don't look overly challenging, and the puzzles are so fun. This is my type of wad.

Deadly Ritual is my all time favorite DBP, even above auger zenith. The final level is soooo fun and you feel really great finishing it. It's a full story in itself.

Of all places to hear Perdition's Gate music, this is by far the best. The whole OST is not Victorian or Verne-sian aside from the intermission music, but I'd argue that all tracks fit their respective maps as well as the setting like a glove. It's that feel of adventure and excitement, see? Yeah, some more open environments for once after Whistlestop Harbor. Doesn't quite factor into gameplay, it's just nice to have some extra fresh air to fight demons with. Arturo! 😽 He looks a lot like our own guest star on the corner there ... except maybe not quite as chubby 😜

Great exploration focused map! That last secret is a tough one to crack - even despite the glowing light sector it blends into environment so it's a bit hard to notice. Also I believe the backpack secret opens up after you obtain the red key 🙂

@@decino Yeah... chances of a series are low. I've seen your playthrough and if every map is around that size I don't think it would make much sense. Might just play the first few maps in my own time to confirm it someday. Thanks for letting me know!
