The way Jim Lee renders a gesture drawing into a full finished piece is on a level I hope to get to!

It's kind of cool how you can just keep tracing in the picture until it's perfect. I used to feel like whatever I drew should be perfect right away but really you can spend as long as you want adjusting details until it's right.

The fact that his sketch that took 1 minute and 13 seconds roughly is better than most full blown comic drawings I try amazes me. Practice makes perfect I guess

When you first see the doodles he draws, say that this man make fun of his fans. Then, he begins to spell everyone by his magic ink power and say that this man deserves to be watched. Thank you Jim Lee. Thank you to experience us both disappointment at first and being mesmerized at the end of your same art...

I just found this accidentally and I'm in heaven! Jim Lee is one of my all-time favorite comic book artists. This drawing would have taken me a couple of days, I rough sketch quickly like he does, but I NEVER would have thought to use a brush, I've always colored in those black spots with pens! And then to go back with liquid paper for white highlights and to fix any minor mistakes! I know, it seems so obvious now, I'd carefully ink around all light spots even tiny ones, I've wasted so much time! Thanks Jim, I'm gonna show this video to my boys, I always wanted to draw comics but never submitted anything, now I see how someone can produce so much good work so quickly. I knew at my pace I'd never meet deadlines. My 12 year old is really talented and I try to give him tips that I learned through trial and error. This just blows my mind. Definitely a thumbs up and I subscribed.

MrCreepjo you don't have to be a sub to talk. If jim makes his chat subonlymode than thats how subs can only chat. I don't think he would have it in subonly mode because the traditional drawing community don't get many views. And he is talking and responding to the chat.

MrCreepjo usually streamers with low viewers have no sub mode. I guess he decided not to listen to his viewers. I understand that owning a twitch community is difficult at times.

Been watching a lot of Jim Lee and Tod Mcfarlane vids, watching how they draw things, trying to take note and stuff. Closest thing I'm gonna get to a class or something from either artist. I'm getting better with their tips and all that. Been a while and I watched this video and it almost looks like he's scribbling to begin with and he turns it into a masterpiece. I somehow forgot he does that. I give up lol

TheShadowfire204 lemme give you alil secret then my friend, Jim leee was noted as saying he used the bridgmans Drawing book. As for which one I don’t remember exactly if I had to take a guess we could probably go with the constructive anatomy or something with the life drawing.
