I would do that too and I’m not OCD. Lol.. I worked in retail and we were taught and trained to be clean and keep our department organized and it made it much easier for the customers to find what they were looking for or see the different varieties of the merchandise but by colors and sizes they needed. There’s organized and a need to be organized. I’ve been to a few yard sales where the homeowners just throw things in piles and it’s work just to look at everything at once. But on the other hand, that would be so time consuming to go through each box to categorize, someone will just mess it up. 🙄

this is a great reason for any collector out there to inventory and pare down what you own, to make a will and to only keep what you enjoy at any given time and rotate the rest out and make yourself some money. Its a shame that peoples lives are reduced to boxes in a storage locker that someone who never knew you just buys and rummages through. Nope, just part with what doesn't serve you anymore and YOU benefit from the collection. Dont let others do it and benefit from either your death or some financial downturn that resulted in you losing all your stuff. Inventory, catalogue, research and sell continuously,

Any Vintage Care Bear items are highly collectable. For valuing plush I would recommend The Rebel Reseller. Her videos are all about plush. She's also highly knowledgeable on Fisher Price and many other vintage toys from the 1970s to present. I would suggest selling lots of similar items such as Matchbox and Hot Wheels. Don't overlook the plush or other toys that were "dusty" as they may be older and have more value. I personally think that most Disney is not that valuable since they are so over overproduced.

$1,000/600 boxes = $1.68/box...EVEN WITHOUT SORTING the individual contents, i.e. just general sort to possibly find a unicorn item or 10... 1st offer of $20/box (assume 200 sales) = $4,000; 2nd offer at $15/box (assume 200 sales) = $3000; 3rd offer at $10/box (assume 250 sales) = $2500.... Grand Total $9500 for 40-50hrs of sorting/posting/shipping Just one scenario...at $1.68/box, they have A LOT of wiggle room!!!!

After viewing this video, the only High dollar items I could see were the mint in package wrestlers, mint in box/package diecast cars and trucks, and the unopened framed pictures. The only non packaged items I saw that might have value were the plush ALF and Boyds bear. The rest of that plastic, plush, and played with stuff with no packaging might be worth anywhere from a quarter to 50 cents per item (all I'd be willing to pay). Anyways, the mint in package wrestlers (could be worth anywhere from $5 to $50 each), new unopened framed pictures (i'd say they are worth about $12 each), and unopened diecast (anywhere from $5-$15 each) are the pieces you'll make the most money. The comics might be worth $1 each. Good luck digging through the rest of it. Hope you find some more High Dollar toys and collectibles.

Not trying to be a negative-Nelly but there's not much in what I'm seeing. If you have access to a year-round outdoor flea market, or know someone who does the circuit, I would try that. I see a lot of 50 cent or a dollar items. You plug away diligently at that, you'll make a good profit on your $1,000 investment, but it's going to take years, not day or months. Like..everything I saw is very low money. The plush has to have some age, and has to be supremely clean. Even then, the comps might say XX but you'll have a very, very, difficult time selling for that. And it takes up a lot of space. Some of it is very low money, some of it is zero money. Like the stuff kicking around the bottom of the 10 cent bin at a church rummage sale. I hope as you get deeper you find some true vintage that'll make your $$ back fast so you can wade into this other "stuff" over time.

Yeah, so far I'm not seeing anything. These are mostly generic Dollar Tree stuff. The toys that are valuable are usually in a package, and in good condition. Even Hot Wheels are not worth a lot. I have to wonder who paid for storage for all this stuff. Someone who saw an article saying "some old toys are valuable" and thought "ALL old toys are valuable."

I would consider not doing a lot of thermoses although I know people collect them but would they be more profitable in a themed group like a Care Bear or Spider-Man lot?

A good rule of thumb with comics is most comics printed in the 90's, what you found, were extremely overprinted, and so they hold very little value. There will be exceptions of course, but not many. This rule also applies to sports cards and action figures from that era.

Make sure at some point to separate things. Watch for pez containers, old disney toys, john deere, lunch boxes, the thermos of care bears, watch for a lunch box to go with it, and old musical groups like new kids on the block, beatles, then plush toys too. Watch not to break anything. You have a ton of money there. Just try to group things together. Mcdonald toys, beanie babies, etc. Be careful! Youll need to sort out matchbox cars, and anything new in the box, try not to open them or dent them. Good Luck guys!

the most disorganized toys boxes i ever seen. my toys are all labeled. each tote is heman or star wars. each figures is its own ziploc. most boxes have labels of what type of toys are in the box and some have a list of every figure there is. then i have a book that what exact totes are in each closet. what totes are on each shelf so i can find the tote and then find the toy to resell. i am ocd. and this is insane.

The Care Bears plush.... I'd check out. Its amazing how much you can get from some of the stuff. Even some of the items needing love may be valuable for parts if nothing. The carded figures..... the condition of the cards can make all the difference. Do some research before you just lot some of the things together . Research.... please.... Please handle with care.

1980s Cartoons(Saturday Morning) were the Best.... I know my cousins had good cartoons also in the 1990s. But the 80s... Smurfs, G.I. Joe, MASK, He-Man, WWF Wrestlers cartoon...... a few good shows before TMNTs and Power Rangers came out in late 1980s and early 1990s
