This series is great, thanks so much for it! One thing that I didn't know for a while is that being in a city tile (center or district) also gives +3 morale. So I think you want to try to fight and/or draw enemy defenders out of cities as much as possible (and do the opposite when you're defending).

Thank you for that. That was a very useful and well-spoken video. It makes a very welcome change to hear someone who is calm and explains the content intelligently, rather than yet another of the many hyped-up video narrators.

I have recently bought this game and I have to admit: I was feeling confused regarding many aspects and mechanics. Your guides will be very helpful to me, so thanks a lot for this good work! ;)

Your guess that people dislike this game's combat due to lack of knowledge regarding its mechanics is 100% accurate. I get the distinct impression that people play one game and do just a few battles and can't figure it out on their first try and just give up on it. I don't know why this is the case, but pretty sure it is. One of the biggest complaints I hear is, "I can't move my units and attack in the same turn! I'll move a unit and then he'll attack some random enemy and screw everything up!" The best way to follow this up is, "Did you do the tutorial?" The answer is most often NO. The tutorial tells you how to move and assign a target in the same turn! And that's just the beginning. Most people don't bother to look at stats, don't bother looking at unit Initiative or the turn sequence bar at the top, or any of the combat basics. Yes, it definitely could have been explained better by a manual or a combat-specific tutorial, but it also could be figured out on your own with about 5 minutes of applying your brain. Great vid, please continue the series. I'll be linking this and the written guide to a couple friends!

Great Video! Is this game has auto battle mode like Age of Wonder???

The problem with the combat system isn't the lack of explanation, although that also hurts. The problem is that it just takes way too much goddamn time and takes you away from the main modus of the game if you have multiple armies roaming around.

What's going on when the combat % (crit hit, hit, defense, crit defense) add up to greater than 100%? I've seen this happen in some of my games and I have no idea what they mean.

Can somebody please explain!! My city was under siege during winter and the governor+militia who joined the battle as reinforcements had almost shittiest morale points you can achieve D: whats causing it?? checked some of the enemy units for shock skill etc. but none found..
@sonkko918 жыл бұрын
Also, had some more units join the battle as second reinforcements at round 2 of the battle and their morale was normal. I dont get it?!:D

I don't think it's true that being near enemies reduces your morale to the negatives, or reduce it at all. Can you confirm?

§§ edit §§ Got my answer in part 2 :) Is it possible to make your units stay on the forest tiles as it seems that the automatic combat is making them give up their defense advantage points?
@WaervynsWorld9 жыл бұрын
Haha, awesome! :) Yarr, just put them on defensive!

Put them on “Hold Ground.” Using “Defensive” will make them actively seek better defensive terrain.

I played endless legend, but i think i got much stronger than the AI, like alot..so the endgame im just haveing 5 armies with 5 leaders full geared, and im just killing enemy after enemy round after round.. gets abit boring when u play on biggest map possible.. Pretty game tho, and fun if u play online i think
