WAGYU Beef Ribeye Steak from Walmart Review | Is it worth it ?

I've had it before, wasn't bad, I also find it funny as I thought the marbling on mine looked worse after taking it out of the packaging kinda looked the same for some of these too. It honestly wasn't bad meat, I just didn't find it special either, cooked medium it was a decent steak but I would be hard pressed to pick it out blindfolded. I think these are probably the bottom of the barrel for wagyu, no offense to them, I just think its probably a lot of cuts, or cattle which failed to meet their marbling standards for the Australian farming company. As in just not good enough to sell under their name, what really gets me is the price, beef isn't cheap ATM, and while more expensive than locally sourced beef I have to imagine a chunk of the price differences is from shipping it across the planet. This stuff probably isn't very expensive whole sale which is interesting.

If you want a really tender steak at a small price, try The butchers cut at your local butchers shop. Those cuts of beef usually get bought out by the people that work at the butcher shop, and don't really go out to the public. That's why so many people don't know about that little secret. And let's keep it a secret, or else the price on that particular cut of beef is going to be more expensive than filet mignon. That's the way it always happens. Once the public gets a hold of something then the demand shoots through the roof and the laws of supply and demand take over. 😎😎😎

Wagyu makes one of the best burgers, I recommend buying a meat grinder and combining the Wagyu Ribeye and Wagyu New York Strip and you get yourself a delicious burger

"Rendered fat" You save a lot of that fat if pan seared. As delicious as they may be, a lit of the fat and juices fell into your grill. I find the 50 50 hybrid wagyu at Walmart a decent bang for the buck. Thays not 100% American wagyu. Thanks for the cool vid

I picked up on and learned a few things from this video. First of all that was a really nice Walmart, really huge too. The WAGYU beef I have never seen at my Walmart, but I have never really looked for it either. I thought $102.00 was an awesome price for what you were buying provided you gave it a thumbs up. Since you did I will look for it at mine and give it a try, at most I am sure it will be good as I have purchased their steaks in the black trays and found them really good, but those are usually black angus. Now the 2 biggest things in this video I learned was that the little ones like steak too which was awesome. But what really blew me away was learning that even Texan fans can cook. I had to watch the video twice to make sure it ended the same way.

Stay away from it really no beef flavor and pretty oily/greasy tried the ribeye and also the New York strip. Although the ground beef is really really good highly recommend that but not the steaks don't waste your money or your time

My son prefers Australian Wagyu over A5 Japanese Wagyu because of the fat content. Personally I think nothing can be compared to A5 Wagyu.

The wagyu beef in Walmart are very small n size.. If it’s true wagyu. The animal has been slaughtered at a very young age. The beef hasn’t had enough time to develop flavors.. The maturer the animal the more beef flavor it will have….

It definitely isn't GOOD wagyu. Good wagyu should be very light pink in color. Color shows stress on the cattle. The darker the more stressed. Anyone who knows how Japanese or even most American wagyu are raised, know they are treated to a very low stress environment and that's the reason the meat is tender and has great marbling. This Walmart wagyu is mass produced Australian wagyu. A shame really.

First time seeing one of your videos. I enjoyed it so much, I watched it twice. As for Walmart Rib Eye steaks, I looked this up because I was sure it was horse or some other meat. It looked silky at medium rare inside. Not juicy, silky, and a deep maroon color. Disgusting. I'd never buy it again, even though the price was good. Don't know if it was wagyu because I'd never heard of wagyu but I will never again buy Walmart meats.
