I really like the sonex planes. Do two people actually fit in them? I just turned 66 and flew for the first time in 40 years this Monday, really would like to get one of these. I'm kind of like to get a fully built b model but I'm getting older and might be a while to see them start going up for sale. I appreciate any info you can give me!

Brother. I live vicariously through you. Lol I hope to one day soon be flying my own. I almost wish I could shadow you for a week just to experience this, and hopefully to suck up some good ideas and inspiration. Bless you both.

Great video , looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I am a student pilot myself. Once I get my PPL, I plan on budgeting about $60k for my aircraft purchase. I am weighing the Pros/Cons of buying a 40 year old Piper/Cessna or buying/building a Sonex-B. Any thoughts?

Awesome trip and nice airplane. I've been to Big Bear airport many times. It's beautiful up there. I've just had so many engine failures in lots of aircraft types including rotorcraft that flying in that area scares me.

Sounds like operator error. Perfectly good planes and better engines don't just fail without the human missing something of screwing up something or not doing maintenance.
