Wainwright Walks wi'a Local Lad "Burney" A 65th Birthday Walk!

A short walk up the Outlying Fell of Burney, on my 65th birthday!
This Wainwright Outlyer is an easy ascent (although quite steep!) and is very suitable for those of us in advancing years!! It does offer fantastic views over the Duddon Estuary and across to Black Combe

Happy Birthday and almost 3 years younger than me but in my defence, I did have a very hard paper round. A Fell I have never heard of never mind climbed before but quality view from the summit, real stunning view. Nice to get a lift and nice to get a birthday cake on the summit, I wish I had a friend like that, cheers Alan

Just discovered your channel, Alistair. Enjoying you videos. I went up Burney in September, 2018. Wainwright isn't very complimentary about it, apart from the views. Your video proves just how good the views are from the top. [Is your birthday the 27th of September? That's my birthday as well although I'm quite a few years older and starting to struggle on the hills. Still manage down to Cumbria 3/4 times a year from Scotland to go up the lower Wainwrights,]
