One of the best yet underrated ex-acts. Her debut album is full of bops and unique compared to other Disney star outputs, Nemesis is a great EP and let's not forget the iconic Lemonade Mouth soundtrack (fight me but it's the best musical DCOM Disney had). Her show, Good Luck Charlie, is also up there with the classics but gets paid dust like her since it came out in 2010 when Disney started losing some steam.

Bridget Mendler has BEEN THAT GIRL! I’ve been a fan of hers since she played Juliet In Wizards of Waverly Place, but fell in love with her when she was in Lemonade Mouth and Good Luck Charlie! It’s crazy people are just now catching on to her other stuff besides Ready Or Not because she ALWAYS HAD BOPS! I used to blast Hello My Name Is… when I was in middle school and besides the obvious hit singles like Hurricane and Ready Or Not, the whole album itself is phenomenal!! Top of the World, Love Will Tell Us Where To Go, The Fall Song, and City Lights were my favorites off the album. Her Nemesis EP is underrated too as it is very experimental compared to her earlier stuff, but just as solid! Her music has always been poppy, but you can tell she puts her soul into it! I always called her the Natasha Bedingfield of Disney because of the similarities in their sound and I WISHED they could’ve collabed! I wish she would make more music because I miss her SO BAD, but the girl is pursuing her doctorate and is married and I love that for her!

I’d also just like to add how strange Bridgit’s departure from Hollywood Records is. In various interviews, around 2014-2015, Bridgit talked about how her second album was almost done. She also performed a bunch of new songs live that were seemingly going to be on her second album (like Fly To You). I’ve heard from some people that Bridgit was actually dropped from Hollywood Records because she broke her exclusive contract by singing a song for the NBC show she was on (Undateable). I’m not sure how true this is, especially since I feel like her manager/team would have told her not to do it since they would be the ones to know the ins and outs of her contract, but it is strange that she would leave the label. Especially since Selena had recently left HR in that timeframe, they likely would have put even more focus on promoting Bridgit Mendler to be the new star given she already found success and clearly had an audience. Whatever her reasons were for going independent, I hope we can get a new album soon.
@BozeDoesGodsWork10 ай бұрын
To be fair with all of this sick stuff coming out about Diddy and the BS in the Hip Hop industry. I wonder if Bridget’s departure had a more deeper motive. I’m not saying that it’s a fact or not but it all just seems so mysterious to me.

“I used to pray for time like this” Gosh Hollywood records will rud the day for what they did to Bridget mendler, coco jones, Corbin bleu and Sabrina carpenter. But most importantly to Bridget I would argue she would’ve far from recognize in the time when hello my name is if she did more what Olivia roderigo and Ariana grande did and use her time to Disney to establish a music career outside of the company/brand, since around 2012 was when that EDM dubstep pop music was finishing its peak and that indie pop/alternative R&B sound was beginning to gain mainstream attraction thanks to the likes of Adele, Lana del rey, Carly Rae Jepson, solange, Florence and the machine, Janelle monae, jhene aiko, Elle verner, Frank ocean, The Weeknd, taylor swift etc. and then Nemies proves her artistry was being hold back from Hollywood records. But yeah I’m so happy to see Bridget get her love she’s been my girl since ready or not came out and I hope she returns to music soon Favorite tracks: Atlantic Hurricane Ready or not Blonde Forgot to laugh Library

I saw someone post this on reddit about 2024 pop culture! can you please make a video about this topic and what do you think about their opinions or questions. a lot of people answered about dancer musicians like tate mcrae and the rise of more traditional pop starts: What do you think the new uprising stars of 2024 and the next coming years will be like? What traits is the public and industry looking for? And in general what traits do the biggest artists of our generation share. Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Sza, Dua Lipa, BTS, Karol G, Bad Bunny, Drake etc. I believe now more than ever, new types of music are becoming extremely mainstream. Latin music, Afro music, 2000's pop, and Kpop are all becoming more popular so it will interesting to see how the industry will evolve in those terms. Do you think the involving of culture will help new artists gain more success? (tyla for example) Also, in my opinion I believe individuality is more important than ever now. Obviously, social media is also a big part of how artists can build their brand and image as well like: Ice Spice, Central Cee, Pink Pantheres, Doja Cat, Jack Harlow. I feel like they each have something really unique about them that makes them stand out. Their style, flow, music is all unique. Tiktok played a huge role with spreading their music though. But at the same time, I see so so many artists on Tiktok who have potential but aren't getting recognition. I feel like most "Tiktok artists" are put in a box that is hard to come out of. They way for examples I used above promoted their songs seemed more authentic than the " If you are sad listen to my song" hooks used. I feel like confidence just made people gravitate towards them without them having to "beg" for it. In general, I still feel that Tiktok will be the biggest impact for the new upcoming music and artists.
