As someone who has been watching since Taylor’s Great Coaster Roadtrip in 2015 and met him for first time at SFGAM during that trip, watching the return to Japan, return to northern cali, return to Europe (3x), and Australia and Middle East is insane. I’m super super happy for the growth from 25k to 250k subs in my watching journey. Thanks for keeping KZbin a slightly happier place and showing us both coasters and increasingly yourselves and the world

Here’s a couple of fun facts to get Taylor and Sarah even more excited about Coastin’ Through Asia: 1. Fans of Kaiju will know that Jupiter at Kijima Kogen makes a brief cameo in the 1994 film Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla. 2. Although the Space Mountain in Taiwan is vastly different from the ones at Disney parks, it makes a reference to those coasters in the station by including a replica of the station spaceship. 3. I could be wrong, but the Chimelong Spaceship is currently home to the largest performance tank for Orcas in the world, being 4 times the size of the Seaworld performance tanks and having an artificial wave for them to play with. They also have the largest number of Orcas in captivity at 14. 4. Aside from a Mack Supersplash and Wing Coaster, Ocean Kingdom also has Mack Water Coaster that has the same layout as Poseidon at Europa Park. 5. In addition to Orcas and Dolphins, Chimelong also has a Beluga show in the spaceship, and is also one of only a few places in the world that houses Whale Sharks.

Sarah's instant reaction after Eejinaika will be priceless. Chimelong Ocean Kingdom is a really nice park you will really enjoy it, the aquarium is simply amazing and there is an omnimover dark ride to the left of the entrance of the aquarium that is kinda hidden but fun to ride and Parrot Coaster is still my favorite wing coaster in the world. My wife and I have a second residence in Guangzhou and my best advice I could say is just keep your nose clean, if you see any kind of confrontation just walk away and dont get involved. I see many situations I dont agree with but I just walk away because as an American I dont want any issues in China. The citizens of China are really amazing and freindly its just anything Government or law authority just stay clear.

Steel Dragon just felt like a bigger Mamba. Parque Espana was really cool looking and had amazing theming, but Pyrenees was the most disappointed B&M invert I’ve ever ridden. I’m also a back row lover and they never seemed to think that was something anybody would want, and I kept being placed in or near the front (at every park but Himeji Central). I went to Japan earlier this year and got zero coaster creds! And that's because DisneySea was the one theme park I could finagle into the trip. And DisneySea's good rides aren't coasters. By coincidence, it was the OPENING DAY of Fantasy Springs. But since that sounded like a nightmare to deal with, and the whole park was new to us... we just didn't go in there. And we had a fantastic time! Crowds in the rest of the park were very light, and some English-speaking tourists who were leaving gifted us with line-skip tickets we weren't supposed to have. Journey to the Center of the Earth is amazing, 20,000 Leagues is amazing, the Tokyo Indiana Jones is *beyond* amazing, and the park had a lot of scenery and sedate transportation rides to just vibe with. Good food, too.

Where else in the world can you ride a hyper coaster that goes through a ferris wheel and a hole in a building? Or alternatively ride the ‘Big O’ ferris wheel while singing karaoke and watching Thunder Dolphin up close. Easily my favourite travel destination in the world. As someone who travels around Asia quite a bit, I'm glad to see the continent finally getting a big trip on this channel, particularly outside Japan which seems to be the center of the coaster world in Asia. Funny, the Aboriginal Culture Village in Taiwan was my very first amusement park outside the USA. Guarantee you no one would have had that on their bingo card of my friends. It's a cute park with a Space Mountain coaster that definitely would violate copyright laws in the West lol. Unfortunately, the Vekoma SLC was down the one time I made it out there but it's pretty well themed. I haven't been there in 8 years but it has a great gondola that really allows you to get a full look at the nature in the area. Plus, it's a regional tourist destination (the area that is) because of Sun Moon Lake. Taiwan has a special place in my heart as a whole. It was the country that really got me started traveling around Asia. I hope you guys make time for Taipei, it's arguably the most underrated city in Asia. That and the China eps are gonna really intrigue me in this series

First: Awesome trip plan, and I'm glad you found I way to slowly prepare for China (and hyped for your parrot coaster and japan vlogs. Damn these are some cool travel plans! Cant wait to see the results of them! Ive already been loving everything you 2 have been making so far and seeing this will only be even cooler. Seeing you 2 go to DisneySea, Fuji Q, Nagashima Spa land, and to the Taiwanese parks will be cool as heck! And having Surf coaster leviathan as the first stop will be very interesting. Also some fair warnings and tips about China. They have some peculiar theme park customs there from what Ive seen. IDK if its still like this but you might just have to do a workout while in the station for a coaster. Coasters, especially large scale ones, are still quite new to many chinese people, so some parks make guests do like body excercises before getting on so guests dont get like whiplash and become complete ragdolls once strapped in. Getting around and paying for services might be a bit hard if you aren't familiar with Chinese apps and payment services. Like its very wise to install some chinese payment apps like Wechat or Alipay as many businesses like stands or taxi cabs won't accept cash or credit card. Wechat especially is basically a neccessity as its kind of an everything app in China, whether its messaging, payment, planning, or being an entire chinese social media platform in itself. And if youre doing a bigger chinese trip in the future, making use of their public transit would be a very good idea. They have the worlds largest high speed rail system and its still growing by the day (You can legit travel distances comparable to New York to Atlanta in just 4 hours with these trains), and several large chinese theme parks are directly connected to their respective city's subway systems. But all of that is a story for another time. Meanwhile Chinese highways often get quite congested and have many tollbooths and what not slowing you down.
