Candice is joined by actor, comedian, and just an all-arounder of a human being, Michael Rosenbaum, to discuss how he has worked to become the best version of himself over the decades - both while in and at a distance from the industry. From his breakout role on a comic book superhero series, to finally directing and producing his own passion projects (like his podcast!) was a transformative experience in itself. They talk about the power of therapy, knowing who your real friends are, and yes, they briefly mention the fact that Candice never called back all those years ago after a few dates.

I watched Vampire Diaries on and off and then the Originals bumped my hype back up. These two shows were definitely the best genre shows on at the time. I don't know if you ever auditioned for the lead role on vampire diaries, but I always thought your character was made for you. I thought when your character was on screen, "This is gonna be a good scene." You've earned a sub from another Inside of You listener. Solid episode. Keep it up!

Hi Candice, I'm glad that I seeing you podcasting and this is the right place to express one good feeling I have right now, because I rewatching TVD these days and now while I watching this podcast between actors of my favorite shows, I started to think suddenly, how much passion, work, time, sacrifice and energy you 2 and all your colleagues put on these shows for us, that now I started to watch this shows in totally different light, if you understand what I mean, I watching with so much more respect. Just so you know I have you on instagram for long time and I can say you are awesome lady, with so much positive energy even through picture.👌

I was watching the episode you were in on his podcast Inside of You and when you said you had your own podcast, I was like ooo I gotta find that. Instantly subscribed. I loved you in Vampire Diaries and am working my way through the Originals and Legacies. You're such a great actress, and I'm glad you're trying new things and showing your fans the real you. I LOVE that more actors/actresses like you and Michael are speaking more on mental health and trying to normalize therapy. It takes a lot to show that much vulnerability, especially with so many people, but I think what you guys are doing is so important.

I always like the good girl/bad guy relationships in fiction. So obviously I liked Lana with Lex and I’m still crazy about Caroline with Klaus. So when I saw this video title my mind went “Caroline and Lex?!” 🤯 I think you two broke me. This was a conversation I never knew I wanted lol. And, I’m kinda glad you guys only went on a couple of dates. Obviously I don’t know either one of you… I just can’t imagine how it would have worked 😂. Can’t picture it. But, what do I know? Thanks for both of you doing your podcasts!

Candice, you should tell Michael to have his agent look for parts in which his character dies in the first season. Heck, how about the first episode. Like Kyle Chandler or Dave Annable in shows I won't mention just in case they're some folks out there who haven't seen them. It's always shocking when you have a well known or recognizable actor play a seemingly big part just to be killed off early on. Also, there are some really familiar character actors that seem to get killed off frequently. Actor Steven Culp comes to mind. Think JAG, Desperate Housewives, Star Trek Enterprise.
