So I just got my first two stripers on the beach using all your techniques! From using a hi-lo bottom rig (catch em all) and making the T-knots myself, to using squid pieces. I even read the beach right this time thanks to you! I did lose a rod to an aggressive fish once though but I caught two monsters on my other two rods. I just wanted to say thanks for your videos! Definitely subscribed, thanks again! P.S. your dad is a big inspiration as well!

Brian, I never see you using fighting back support when fight with the big fish. That back support harness connect to your reel, will help you alot, so you just concern on the line up your line on the reel, also your hand will not sore, because you fight with your body. And the other thing, I never see you using your Tundra, are you change with Ford ?

Yall may want to invest in a reel harness for attaching to the rings on reel to your upper body just so you can have a bit more reel stability while reeling.

When you're returning the shark to the water like that, do they ever try to whip around and bite you? That's a whole little teeth to deal with! That's cool that FL has a course on safe shark fishing on their site. Great catch!

I think you should harvest a shark and grill it up. A lot of people eat them like Landshark fishing and he says they’re delicious.

Most species of sharks here in Florida you cannot eat. The ones that you can actually taste pretty good. The problem is they are extremely high in Mercury, so you have to eat them with caution.

Difficult for me to kill a shark. I’m not sure I care to try, because that means I will need to kill one of these big fish, I’d imagine lots of blood and flailing.

Nice work! It looks like you might have been using shark fins for bait? Couldn't tell for sure, but if so you definitely want to be careful here in Texas as they are super illegal to possess. Can't use any shark pieces for bait. Just a heads up!

Unless you changed the rigging from the opening scene might I suggest that you not yank so hard on the line repeatedly as you did in playing that shark. A circle hook is designed to catch the edge of the mouth and hook sets work best if pressure is applied somewhat slowly as the fish moves away with the bait. Once the weight of the fish is felt a smooth, but not sharp, jerk on the line or two is all that is needed to set the hook. Repeated sharp jerks only serve to enlarge the hole around the hook and increase the risk of the fish escaping. Granted that shark skin is very tough so not as much risk of losing that fish, but since education seems to be part of your mission I'd suggest doing it right. I enjoy your videos immensely and you are a great fisherman, but you you played that shark worse than your lovely companion. I hope you were just hamming it up for the camera, but all that yanking wasn't a proper demonstration of how to play a big fish. Once hooked steady pressure, no slack, and pump smoothly when cranking alone won't move your quarry.

Never understand why people pull back so hard when.playing the fish..what's wrong with just a goid sould gentle pull . Still gain line the same..less effort and doesn't panic the fish. Especially if it's big rather than trying pull it's head of. Ridiculous
