Everytime you repair tool it loses maximum durability, so if it gets low got to make a new one, important for your Tribeys.

The losing of max durability when repairing is toggleable in the options if you really want to turn it off.

The max durability is not much of an issue, until it loses 20% to 25% max durability. Which take a while before you even notice. I did not even realize that it was an issue until I was level 30ish or so. Often times, a few loss durability means nothing

Finding travel routes is also crazy on this game map. When im rippin on my jag to the lv 22+ areas, its very tricky to stay on flat ground and find my way thru the rainforest without hitting a cliff and having to check the map constantly to find the path. Wish u could set routes that u could activate to get some visual aid on the path to where you're heading to, the quick shortcut thing doesnt really help u stay off the map screen when youre on a fast mount

Super duper pro fast travel tip for single player mode: check "spawn death package in front of you after death" in server advanced settings, build bonfires/campfires around the map. After death/suicide (or press Esc and click Respawn) just choose bonfire/campfire where you want to respawn at. 6 bonfires available per tribe and unlimited number of campfires.

If you respawn as a tribesman by accident, and your settings are correct. Go to a bonfire and you can choose, 'initiate model character' or something like that. And you will respawn as your premade character in the beginning in the game without losing your tribesman

Do you know much about Alpaca’s, specifically their behavior? There’s 2 setting: freedom and stop under the action settings. If ya pick freedom does that set them free? Or give them permission to roam your base? I tried it but when I picked freedom and they started moving through the fence I stopped them cuz I was afraid they’d run away, but they just stand in the same place otherwise.

For the starting character, not really. I have heard you can get to 70 by doing some late game dungeon bosses but the cap for starting character will always be low. You are meant to shift between tribesmen to get a character that has the skills you want. I do wish you could assign a job to your starting tribesman to at least have them be the one maintaining the bonfire instead of just lounging around the camp doing nothing.

Ive been locking myself from continuing further because i keep leveling a fighter as well as a goon guard with -60% dmg taken before i explore. If i get killed its like DAMN. I gotta go level up a goon and a fighter again . Is there a better or quicker way to get back into the fight faster? I get killed in dumb ways, usually from not realizing im being killed while looking at the map

The strenght of the wild animals and enemies, is not well balanced with the player character level or their own level. Suggest you adjust the settings a bit. For example, if you want to fight an enemy who is too strong for you alone, he strenght won't incraese if you bring people with you. And also other stuff. Watch a video about it, it helps a lot.

The NPC's, or tribes people we recruit are actually a lot stronger than our 'main' character. There are also defences you can build for your base.

Certain foods can give mood boosts (namely wine, mezcal, etc). Some recruitable NPCs will also come with likes/dislikes traits that will affect their mood simply by being around whatever their trait is for

Clans are called tribes, the clan tab is for your recruited NPC. So make a tribe and then have your friends apply to the tribe.

It’s there with the automation. Your tribesman will retrieve the items. Make a quest crafting queue on a bench and watch your tribes people do the rest.

Something that drives me nuts is going through chests to craft things. I'd really like to have easier "global" access to your chests while inside of the bonfire radius

QUESTION: bonfire- can you tell an NPC to gather resources for the fire like wood/branches to keep the fire alive?

Assign a tribesman’s to the bonfire that keeps it full of whatever you have in chests. You can also create work for them to harvest the wood in the area. They lose tool durability and won’t repair them. So you have to keep up on the tools. But otherwise the loop is continuous.

You can you need to defeat the bosses to unlock more proficiency for your created character. It’s the top line of mask upgrades.
