This is brilliant Jakob. I love Nave and had it for many years, but I'm either preset based or randomly hitting nobs/faders without knowing fully what I'm doing. More please. And big thanks.

Thank you! I'm happy that my vids can help out in some way. I'll be making more. I'm also planning to do some Synthesizer basics tutorials. Getting a lot of requests for that. :)

Yeah! More nave tutorials would be nice. I really like your way of explaining things. BTW, have you planned any tuts on analogue kit?

Fantastic tutorial Jakob! I have just started using Nave for the very first time. It's my first iPad VST after using them for many many years on my laptops. I really hope that you make lots more videos :) Your love of the creative process is obvious!

Jakob have you used the newer desktop DAW version yet? Thank you for the nice video!
@JakobHaq3 жыл бұрын
No I haven’t, I don’t work of desktop. But as I understand it’s the same synth as the iOS version. Nave is one of my absolute favourite synths. It sounds amazingly good and I love creating patches with it. There’s so much in there and I love how Waldorf does wavetable synthesis.

Jakob, are you on propellerhead's site for Reason 9?
@JakobHaq8 жыл бұрын
Good eyes! Yup, I'm there. I'm in the Reason 9 Ableton Link video too. I made a behind the scenes vlog about the whole thing. You'll find it in my vlog playlist if you feel like checking it out! =D
@TheSpoonwood8 жыл бұрын
Jakob Haq. Ha ! I was thinking "that cat looks familiar ".. That and the European and dance music (EDM?) connection . I was ableton link it together..... You like the Reason 9 upgrade/ update? Do you use? Hopefully I'm not putting you on the spot.
@JakobHaq8 жыл бұрын
+SpoonWood Gennaro I haven't been using desktop/laptop computers since I started with iOS three years ago so I don't know that much about the latest version of reason. However I am a Propellerhead fan and have been since they released Rebirth back in the day. I have used Reason a lot in the past and I absolutely loved it. If I ever get back to desktop/laptop production then you can bet I'd use Reason again. That and Cubase. ;)

Jakob Haq that is a bold move! iOS only. Thats why your reviews are as good as they are I imagine. Thanks for responding .

Very nice tutorial, Jakob. I like how with a few simple knob twists you manage to create a very cool pad sound. Now I feel the urge to go finger my surface right now :-) xoxo

Thank you Thierry! I find Nave to be one of those synth one can get stuff done very quickly. As soon as you get the basics, it's easy getting creative with it. ;)

Does this have a drum machine so you can make a full song
@JakobHaq6 жыл бұрын
No, its a synthesizer not a DAW. I recommend you having a look at KORG Gadget. I’ve got a huge playlist of videos that I made featuring it. kzbin.info/aero/PLvNQD1EpaiNNiZzkKtsjEn76dbBYv5SpF

Yes I own kirg gadget with all the instruments is there anything else like Korg gadget out there
@JakobHaq6 жыл бұрын
Nothing quite like KORG Gadget no. It’s pretty much fully packed with everything one needs in order to produce full tracks with, even if it is a bit lacking in its audio recording capabilities (Zürich). You could check out Caustic 3 which is very much like Reason. Its got a rack styled interface with about 16 gadgets and stuff. Pretty fun app and quite powerful too. Then there are apps like Auxy and also Groovebox, however those two are more idea sketching type apps. . Then of course there are more plain old school type DAW’s like Auria Pro and Cubasis. . And if your into sampling then Beatmaker 3 kills all the competition completely.

Does anyone know how to and presets to this iPad synth without iTunes? Thanks.
