Despite few basic differeces I deem professor JavaidAhmadGhamidi Saahib not only a great scholar of so many branches of knowledge but a great benefector of Muslim Ummah n human community . Quranic verse reveals as و الذین امنوا باللہ و رسلہ اولئک ھم الصدیقون و الشھداء عند ربھم لھم اجرھم و نورھم ۔۔۔۔۔ الحدید الایہ انیس " Those who believe in Allah n His messengers ------- these are the most sincere n witnesses ( of the divine facts ) with their Lord ; they will have their reward n ( divine ) light . کچھ باتوں پر سوالات ذہن میں آتے ہیں: ۱- موصوف نے فرمایا کے حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کے خلافت پر اتقاق نہ ہو سکا…تو سوال یہ بنتا ہیں کے صد فی صد کبھ اتفاق ممکن ہیں؟ نبی خاتم صلواۃ اللہ علیہ و اٰلہ پر بھی مدینہ میں امیر کے طور پے“صد فی صد” اتفاق نہی تھا…حضرت ابو بکر رضی اللہ عنہ کی بھی حکمت پر “صد فی صد” اتفاق نہ تھا جب تلک حضرت علی نے کہل کر بیعت نہ کرلی اور حضرت سعد بن عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے تو کی ہی نہی بیعت کہل کر جب کو وہ انصار کے سردار تھے…. ۲- صلح حسن رضی اللہ عنہ کے تہت کیا یہ شک نہی کے اگر میں زندہ نہ رہا تو یہ معاملہ پھر سے امت کی طرف چھوڑ دیا جائگہ؟…یہ تو غامدی صاحب کا محض خیال ہیں کے کوئی تھا ہی نہی سیاسی بھاگ دوڑ سنمبھلنے کے لیے…اگر ایسا ہی تھا تو صرف حسین ابن علی، عبد اللہ ابن عمر، عبد الرحمن بن ابی بکر، اور دیگر زعما اصحاب اور اولاد صحابہ کو بلا کر اپنے بیٹے یزید کی بیعت لینے کا کیا معاملہ تھا جس پر سب نے انکار کیا اور جرح کی! انکی سیاسی رائی کی کوئی حثیت نہی غامدی صاحب کے نزدیق؟ چلو مان لیتے ہیں جیسے غامدی صاحب کے باقول وہ علم و تقوی میں فائق تھے لاکن سیاست کو چلانے میں نہی لاکن وہ علم و تقوی کی بنیاد پے اس طرز ولی عہدی کے تو خلاف تھے انکے رائی میں یہ طرز ہی دین کے خلاف اور اس وقت کے نظم کے بھی خلاف تھا کیوں کے وہ واپس نظم کو اسی پٹری پر لانا چاہتے تھے جیسے خلافہ راشیدون کا طریقہ تھا؟

اسلام علیکم۔ امید کرتا ہوں کہ آپ سب ٹھیک ہوں گے بالخصوص غامدی صاحب۔ نہایت ادب و احترام کے ساتھ۔ آپ لوگوں نے بہت ساری نشستوں میں سوال و جواب کا جو سلسلہ شروع کیا ہیں بہت ہی عمدہ خیال ہیں۔ لیکن آپ قرآن ٬ سنت ٬ حدیث وغیرہ کو ہی ہمیشہ اپنی نشستوں میں زیرِ نظر رکھیے اور انہی کے متعلق سوال و جواب کا سلسلہ بھی قائم رکھیے کیونکہ یہی دیں کے اصل موضوعات ہیں۔ آپ تاریخ اور دیگر غیر ضروری چیزوں کے متعلق کوئی نشست درج نہ کیجیے۔ کیونکہ یہ سب تاریخ کا مسئلہ ہیں اور اسِ کو وہی تک محدود رکھیے بالآخر ان جیسی چیزوں سے لوگ شکوک و شبہات میں مبتلا ہوتے ہیں۔ تاریخ کے واقعات زیرِ بحث لانے سے بہت سارے پیچیدہ مسئلے پیدا ہوتے ہیں اور پھر مسلمانوں میں نزاع کا ماحول برپا ہوجاتا ہیں۔ غامدی صاحب اور پوری ٹیم کا موضوع ہمیشہ سے قرآن اور سنت رہا تو پھر آپ تاریخ کے جھنجھٹ میں کیوں اپنے آپ کو دھکیل رہے ہیں۔ محمد حسن الیاس صاحب سے میری مودبانہ گزارش ہے کہ آپ تاریخ کے سوالات کو زیرِ بحث نہ لائے۔ تاریخ کے مسئلوں پر جتنے بھی اہل علم نے اپنے قلم وہ زبان کو استعمال کیا ہے، پوری دنیا پھر ان کے ساتھ کس معاملے سے پیش آئی وہ آپ کو بھی بخوبی معلوم ہے۔ اگر آپ سے کوئی تاریخ کے سوالات پوچھے گا بھی تو ان سوالات کو یہ کہہ کر رد کر دیجئے کہ آپ خود ہی ان چیزوں کے متعلق مطالعہ کیجئے۔ میری اس گزارش کو غامدی صاحب تک بھی پہنچایا جائے تو آپ کی بڑی نوازش ہوگی اور آپ کے جواب کا انتظار رہے گا۔ شکریہ

On one hand, it is regarded as a treason or crime to fight against an elected or selected amir/leader on the other hand Ali Ra who was elected as Caliph by the people if Madina albeit lots of rebels too(overpowering madina) and all but one governor ie Muawaia Ra refusing to take Bai'ya was not treason and taking an army to fight instead the elected govt, even Ayesha Ra admits including Talha and Zubair Ra, the heavy weight sahaba, they were in the wrong. That was not treason? That was high treason for which not the Prophet saw in any hadith, but Allah Himself in Quran says, that its a duty of all Muslims to fight with that party.... Of note ( Zubair Ra, voted for Ali Ra to be the caliph even after Umar Ra s death, not for Usman Ra)

Whilst absolutely true about Gen ZIA and Maududi sb political approach which was based on utopia of islamic superiority in society(never there from the word go ie 47) it doesn't hold any ground that there was no political leadership of clout. It was based on malintention nothing else, I am sure even in Banu ummaya there would be more eligible people than Yazid and certainly much more in Sahaba and Tabieen who led the armies elsewhere. The defence of Muawaia s act(neither at time of Ali Ra, not here) is illogical. The govt was no different than Nawaz sharif or BBs , corruption was rampant in society and people brutally suppressed, no freedom of speech etc Muawaia and Marwan and afterwards umayyads be better administrators or politicians but not necessarily the best of men at that time, history proves it, they accepted islam by force or due to the political climate after the Makkah conquest when there was no other option other death or exile. Umar Ra had he known what he would do later would never have appointed him Governor, luckily in the last couple of years of his khilafat, otherwise we all know.how strict he was with corrupt governors or who abused their position and amassed wealth. Hence at the end of the day, neither Marwan nor Muawaia s progeny survived in the long run. The only good person being Umar bin Abdul aziz, unanimously revered by sunni shia alike, for a reason.

So gist of the discussion, no one was qualified to lead among Muslims, no aalim no tahir, only yazid in political matter (had masters degree in politic from his dad’s university) only he was qualified and thus muawia made the best choice for the sake of Islam so there should not be any in fighting among Muslims. Great defense Mr Ghamdi, I hope ur conscience can live with that. U state when swords come out then swords decide, so basically in that case prophet Mohammed should not have fought again Makkans also as Makkans clearly had larger army. Rules and principles should help us decide, I guess rising up against unjust rulers is not part of ur principle list, apparently it was for prophet and his family and they paid the price coz people like u sided up with Yazid army. Very disappointing.

He is not questioning Hazrat Ali khilafat. He is questioning Maulana Maududi. What Maududi sahab is objecting about yazeed bayt, same applies to hazrat Ali bayt.

@@malikfahdaliawan178that is absolutely untrue. This is was the narrative pushed by Bannu Ummayya and laid the foundations for Battle of Camel. Syedna Ali’s caliphate was as per “amaruhum shura bayna hum” . Sahabis voted for Ali bin abi talib (A.S). Unfortunately Ghamidi sahab’s argument is not very convincing as he has not discussed in-fact overlooked the historical backdrop. Especially the contract Muawiya (ra) had with Syedna Hassan bin Ali (A.S)
