Sold my 100% factory 2007 OBXT in August and bought a 2008 that’s been fully redone with a new subaru short block , Subaru factory VF52 turbo, refreshed heads, STi oil pump, KillerB pickup and windage tray, all new timing, gaskets, etc. Grimmspeed TMIC, downpipe and 3port Boost solenoid. Lots of other Cobb, Perrin and Grimmspeed goodies. The gentleman I bought it from had just poured $15,000 into it in the last year getting it perfected and Tuned by Cryotune. Putting down about 300WHP with a ACT HDSS stage 2 clutch and 2006 WRX lightweight flywheel. Group N engine and transmission mounts. Lowered on Legacy GT suspension and LGT front brakes. Just over 130,000 miles and only 8k since all the work was done. I was getting ready to dump about $10,000 into the 2007 when I found this one. 2008 brought some nice upgrades too. I only get to drive it in the weekends and boy do I look forward to out each time! Other than the down pipe, the exhaust is factory so it’s fairly quiet. I will be adding a catback upgrade soon to get that beautiful rumble!

Love your Subie ,looks great . I just bought my first Outback an 08 non turbo ( couldn't find a good turbo one local ) . Like to do an exhaust but haven't seen one for the non turbo . Not going to go crazy on mine its my winter car .

I have been a fan of Subaru for over 10 years; owned 6 now. Rebuilt 2 of those. Mostly older model legacies and had a impreza 2.2L. I now have my dream car; 2006 Subaru Outback 2.5xt with manual. It's all black; needs some work but It will get done in due time. I like what you have done to your Outback, very suddle changes but enough to make it yours. Gave me some idea's as to what I would like to do with mine. I am right now looking to change my exhaust note from factory stock to more WRX. It's also nice to meet a fellow NW person. I hail from Oregon myself.

Thank you for a positive comment. I never thought I'd love a car so much. I never thought I'd do those mods to it after I bought it. But once I met other subaru friends, I couldn't stop customizing my outback. I'm having troubles with overheating now even though I changed the thermostat and did a coolant flush. But only on 85°F+ days and when I'm high in the mountains. 😒 Hope I can figure it out someday.

@OBXT Adventures well we have the ej255 engine. Check your records; but it could be the headgaskets going out. Look under your car and if you see oil and coolant coming out of your block where the head meets you have a blown headgaskets. Other causes are coolant hoses too. You can always get it pressure tested and then go go from that.

Yeah, no leaks that I can see. Could be hoses like you said. Thanks for the info. I'm in the process of trying to find a place to move to rent, which is going up $300 in a month, and I can't afford it.

Post links to the vinyl wrap,sand ramps,box, And if you don't mind I'd like to use some of your ides .. Not sure if you remember me but I'm in Washington State too . I went with Vibrant duel black mufflers and stage 1 now . I recommend stage 1 night and day. How did you go about blacking out your emblems in the rear ?

The vinyl warp is on Amazon. Just type carbon fiber vinyl warp and pick out the one with the best review. That's what I did. The traction boards are from Rough County website. Sure you can use my ideas. That would be awesome. The emblems are blacked out with plasti dip.

You should do one of a pull with your BOV for those that have automatic so they know the sound since your is an auto trans .

Thanks Mike... Love my outback. And yes I've seen a glimpse of Sasquatch once, walking across a forest road in the middle of the night. Just saw the outline of him or her. I thought my mind was playing tricks on me but I remember hearing the sound of his foot hitting the gravel road then going into the bushes on the other side of the one lane gravel road. He or she was about 40-50 feet away from me and my buddy as we were talking to each other.

I have a 2008 2.5I that I want to do some light modifications to just in order to take it off-road (I don't plan on taking it onto anything challenging w / 170 horse) & this is exactly the Subie I needed to find. There nothing over-the-top here.

Also what brand did you run with for your led's I thought about doing HID just because they put a heat pattern out the led's produced none
