Unfortunately the days of " act like you've been there" are long gone. The taunting, showboating are here to stay. To stop it fully would have to be flagged. If that started games would be 5 hrs long because the players these days have no control over their attitudes. They don't care if a flag is shown. They got to show off. Worse is when they beat their chest. An indication of ME ME ME. Sick! Yea TREY the Barry Sanders days are well I'm the past. Thx for the Walk and Talk. Exemplary!

The timeout, bc tech only uses 3 sec to run a play instead of waiting on 2 min then running a play and burning 35 sec.. you force tech to run a play and not use any clock saving more for us to get the ball back..

@EazyE-50118 сағат бұрын
Trey, you really shouldn't have to be an apologist for a Liberty Bowl victory against an 8-4 Texas Tech... It's sad that so many Hog fans don't recognize the full context of everything with how the game is rapidly changing in the transfer portal/NIL era. So many fans are continually over-reactive, to one extreme or another, and it's crazy how so many individuals fail to put things in full perspective. This was a great win, especially to carry that momentum into the off-season, and there's nothing to suggest that this coaching staff and the players that we retain/gain can't improve on this year's record. #WPS
@rickeydavis33128 сағат бұрын
each team had over 20 players hit the portal ( thanks NIL ) so this game really had no meaning
@EazyE-5016 сағат бұрын
@@rickeydavis3312 The game had plenty of meaning -- just the same as bowl games have always had, regardless of the number of starters who opted out. That's just the reality of CFB in the NIL/transfer portal era (at least as of now). This game allowed one team to carry momentum into the off-season, allowed both teams to showcase their depth and give certain backups the opportunities they haven't had on the field throughout the year, and there was still plenty of continuity for each program. Texas Tech was favored by 3 before the game, but Arkansas took care of business. Having this nihilistic attitude about it and acting like bowl games are completely meaningless for teams outside the CFP is a bit laughable, but feel free to go off. Certainly doesn't change a thing. Unless they change the rules about transfers having to stay for the bowl games, then this is the way it's going to be. Even if that change is made, there's nothing to prevent the players leaving teams from faking injuries to sit out or just not playing hard. We've already seen that sorta thing during the regular season.
@EazyE-5016 сағат бұрын
@@rickeydavis3312 With all that said though... Regulations should set to limit players from team hopping year to year, just trying to chase a quick bag. It gets a bit ridiculous when you see a player who has been at 3-4 teams in just as many years. There's something to be said for loyalty to a program and teammates, beyond just looking out for yourself, and it's important that these young men also learn how to see things thru. Compounding one bad move onto another certainly isn't a good look for guys being evaluated by NFL scouts. I'd put a much higher value on guys who show commitment, perseverance, and work ethic as a TEAM player. Hell... KJ Jefferson is a perfect example of how a player can completely screw themselves acting like a prima donna and chasing $$$.

When Green is the best athlete on the field... he looks good. Put athletes of his caliber on the other side of the ball, and things look quite different 95% of the time. Show me a game he did this against formidable opponent. If you can only find one i gave a 5% buffer for that. 2022- 6 picks. 2023- 9 picks 2024- 9 picks. Not improving at taking care of the ball. Zero evidence to suggest he is. This isn't even talking about the fumbles. If we had been in a lesser bowl we would have been in a plate. Sam Scrapin By Pittman

Thanks for the W&Ts--always look forward to them. As for the team, the Liberty Bowl was a good win, Petrino greatly improved the offense over 2023, there were plenty of highlights...buuuuuut, dang, couldawouldashoulda finished the regular season maybe 8-4, even 9-3. Got blown out only twice but lost 2, maybe 3 games they should have won. Just too much inconsistency and too many mistakes. And, Pittman...well, he's OK-to-pretty-good but he's not the coach to get us to mid-tier (7-5/8-4/9-3 consistently) in the SEC--30-31 and 14-28 in the SEC is just...mediocre. Literally. Trey hits on the things he needs to do but can he do it? And, unfortunately, looking at that atrocious schedule next year...well, I'd love to be optimistic about more than 6 wins but, I dunno.

Trey - another “detail thing” I noticed - 9 minutes or so left in the game. BP was playing not to lose. I don’t think we had a pass play the rest of the game-it was BR up the middle w/ a TG run mixed in. The time before last where we then punted it back to TT. WE had 3rd and 4. Tech was stuffing the run. Does BP not trust TG to execute a short bang bang pass play to get the first down? Nope - run BR up the middle and get stuffed. Punt back to Tech. That makes me crazy not to play to win. Make those first downs and put the game away!!! We just don’t have that will to put it away. Step on their throat. Just another detail that we need to pay attention to. Need 2-3 short pass plays that are go to when we have short and manageable. YES agree on that TO call with 2:03 left! I’m like WTF Sam? That’s a rookie coach call.
@billybarber206412 сағат бұрын

@stephen47639 сағат бұрын

This will be the last time he will get to that unimaginable height of winning 7 games....in a 13 game season. Mediocrity is contagious and apparently absolutely invisible to a great number of people. He's not improved anything productive since the first year. He's either lazy or doesn't care. His teams still beat themselves in very winnable games. His teams still don't know how to manage a clock, they still don't know how to solo tackle, his teams are still not thd brightest players on the field. I say that because they almost ALWAYS pick the worst freaking time to make some bonehesded mistake....there is no improvement whatsoever from the first yr to now. Him and yuracheck MUST GO
