If you watch more videos of people walking around with a camera their video is surely worse than mine.

I believe that the person who asked about the camera should be Brazilian. Of course I may be wrong.

Sorry, I can't remember now. This place does not get very busy though.

The place seems to be awfully boring and depressing. This is very strange considering it is in the tropic, near Brasil, with a lot of African and Latin blood...

I believe with the money that I receiving as senior citizen, will be enough for living en French Guiana than to be living here in Calgary AB Canada........... I am wrong ?????

Maybe the rent or local fruits and food would be cheap. But other things were pretty expensive. Now I say expensive compared to their neighbors in Brazil or Suriname. I know Paris is a lot more expensive. If I remember right the taxi driver was saying the minimum wage in French Guiana is 1,100 Euros a month. That's probably 3 times higher than their neighbors. I'm sure overall you could live cheaper in French Guiana than Calgary though. I got frustrated with me not speaking French, so I did not enjoy my time very much.

It depends. Life in French overseas territories isn’t necessarily cheap, count a minimum of 2000€/months if you want to have relative comfort.

In this street they have people, the others are deserted and only have cars.

I never seen many people there during the day. At night I would see a lot of people in certain areas to party. I went to a bar named Bar des Palmistes and it was very crowded. But I didn't stay long because trying to get a drink was near impossible and everyone was bumping in to each other, plus I don't speak French, so I didn't want to keep bumping in to people and not be able to talk to someone to avoid problems. I wouldn't have minded seeing some of the other places in the country, but the capital city didn't have much to see.

I believe that the curious man that is to approach was Brazilian, by the accent. I liked your video, hugs.

Is this a Chinese town ? I don't even see French people.

Hmmm... well, many of the people where of African decent. The white people mostly where hanging out at the restaurants as tourists. Then there are people from other South American countries hanging out there. The Asians seem to be business owners.

Dog Heart which Chinese people?? I didn't see any Chinese on the video!!!!

Actually most of them are descendants of people from Indochina having chosen to remain French. Some of the 1970´s boat people refugees were also relocated there. But there is indeed a growing Chinese immigration.
