As I remember ad a wee wain, the discovery centre was called the winter Gardens where at the time they put on live shows .Great.

My aunt had a wee flat up at the meadows wonderful memories of going to Rothesay in the summer for a fortnight usually to a rented flat in Montague st walking up the serpentine to the golf course staying in the camp there port bannantyne ettrick bay all amazing places and when she died in 2018her ashes where scattered on the island

We lived in Rothesay for 4yrs.There is no doubt that its absolutely beautiful but the reality of living there is far from ideal

Lena Zavaroni left that beautiful calm little Island aged just 9yrs old to come to London with her manager in search of fame back in the 1970s.. She did TV shows, theatre and toured. But later the pressures became to much and made her very unwell. Unfortunately she passed away in her 30s...I have lived in London most of my life and personally, I think its a rat race here, expensive, and survival of the fittest. And high pressured living...
