Google Maps Route: goo.gl/maps/ktFVHryG4twJwLAr9
I walk the entirety of 53rd Street in Midtown Manhattan from DeWitt Clinton Park in Hell's Kitchen to Sutton Place South Park in Sutton Place. 53rd Street is notable for many locations ranging from 601 Lexington Avenue (Citigroup Center), the Lipstick Building, Ed Sullivan Theater, and the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art).
Correction - Starting from 39:07 I completely botched the pronunciation of William LeMessurier’s last name repeatedly. It is pronounced “ləˈmɛʒər”. The repairs to the building also happened only at night, not “day and night” as I stated. This was to keep the repairs to the building hidden from the public.
From Wikipedia:
"53rd Street is a midtown cross street in the New York City borough of Manhattan, that runs adjacent to buildings such as the Citigroup building. It is 1.83 miles (2.94 km) long. The street runs westbound from Sutton Place across most of the island's width, ending at DeWitt Clinton Park at Eleventh Avenue.
The Lexington Avenue - 53rd Street/ 51st Street station complex, one of the busiest in the New York City Subway system, is accessible from this street, and is served by 4, 6, E and M trains. The Seventh Avenue station, serviced by the (B, D, and E trains), is a similarly busy transfer station. The 53rd Street Tunnel carries the IND Queens Boulevard Line (E and M trains) of the New York City Subway under the East River between Manhattan and Queens."

No matter how many HUNDREDS of videos that you have done, each new one is refreshing! Never get bored. Video and sound are superb as usual and both equally important! 3 thumbs up! Great to see the NY Hilton again on 53rd. Stayed there one night in the 1980s. Asked for a credit card. I do business in cash only. Probably thought I was a bag man for the mob. Oh well, nice hotel. Housekeeping even rolled down my bedding for me in the evening!

Everything depends on point of view. I visted NYC first time in August 2012, being 22 years old at the time ( it was my first time in the US as well on my student visa), I remember walking down the paths you have kindly recorded for us. Gret memories! I spent two weeks on the rock, just simply walking around Manhattan/Brooklyn/Quenns etc and exploring the city. I looked at all of this differently as a foreigner/kid from Eastern Europe, but I am still impressed, even when I am watching your videos. City has changed. People look bit different, there is more "smartphone zombies" now. Nevertheless, I am happy to see this part of town again. Everything was so different and exciting back then. Looking forward to comeback someday to NYC even for a day or two. This video brought back abovementioned flashbacks. Have a good one! Cheers, Daniel from Poland, Europe

the video is magnificent , like all your videos :-), but this one in particular has enchanted me, because I really like a building that is still under construction, and when you have reached the hilton hotel, and thanks that you have focused on the hotel, it has come out in the background, my favorite building, the 111 West 57th Street, known as Steinway Tower , it is so impressive ¡¡¡, just at minute 24:34 you've focused on that and besides, it has been a good long seconds of filming so I could see very well the building, and it's great the perspective of it from that specific point, so you've made me very happy today, thank you very much! :-) have a happy weekend ¡¡¡

I ve rewatched the video, it is really interesting all your comments. I found interesting the history of the citicorp center :-) and It was funny to read your corrections about the "tallest " hotel in town. If I'm not mistaken is actually located on. 1717 broadway and it is not only the tallest in new yor city , also the tallest in the whole continent of America :-) I hope one day you walk near by and show us. Best regards :-)
