Welcome to my channel. As you may know, Broadway runs an additional 18 miles through the municipalities of Yonkers, Hastings-On-Hudson, Dobbs Ferry, Irvington, and Tarrytown, and terminating north of Sleepy Hollow in Westchester County. So, I started walking from the city line between Broadway, Riverdale in the Bronx and S. Broadway, Yonkers.
I walked part of the S. Broadway in Yonkers turning via Nepperhan Avenue and Intervale Pl to Getty Square, walking back onto Broadway to terminate at Nepperhan Avenue.
Yonkers is a city on the Hudson River, in Westchester County, New York. Some of the Green spaces in Yonkers include Untermyer Park and Gardens. There is also the formal Walled Garden, water features and river views. Yonkers Hudson River Museum has American art, an 1876 mansion and a planetarium.
Presidential portraits are displayed at Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site, a Georgian house. Empire City Casino and Raceway hosts horse races. I will as time permit go to some of these places to showcase them on this channel. Please watch this video to virtually experience the thrill of walking with me. Kindly subscribe, like and comment to help grow this channel.

Born and raised in Yonkers. Lived on landscape ave, caryl ave, Radford st, McLean ave moved away in 94. Great memories of being a teen in Yonkers and hanging out on Lawrence street. The small park where the Lincoln statue is there use to be a a civil war canon there I see it is gone

I lived for a while in 1987-89 in the Evanses house at 47 Landscape, and grew to love Yonkers. I worked up in Elmsford as a roofer/sider. To me Yonkers has a very special atmosphere. My favourite place was Roy Rogers down on S.Broadway, and beautiful Van Cortlandt Park.

I was born and raised in Yonkers overlooking the Majestic Hudson and beautiful Palisades--a very special place to grow up in. Sadly PS 6 on Ashburton Ave. and Longfellow Jr. high are only memories now. PS 25 on Warburton Ave. is still there as is Trevor Park--best place for sledding and summer baseball games. What fun we had--great teachers--great kids! Toni (Iffland) Kiraly

lived here since 1979 and take that walk all the time-notice this was over 2 years ago-a lot of those small mom and pop stores have folded because of the pandemic -even the Wayside thrift store is gone-and attempts at gentrification have taken their place-like Snipes -an upscale urban og outfitters -i miss the Park Hill theater-it was great just walking across the street to see a movie-i live on Randolph-thank god Ginos is still there-his son runs it now-and i remember the time some creative vandal painted Lincoln's shoes white to look like spats-in short i love my neighborhood thanks so much for posting this

I grew up walking these streets back in the 60s and 70s. So many memories. Amazing how the businesses have changed but the buildings are still the same. Doesn’t look much different than it did 50 years ago. I used to frequent three movie theaters along the stretch in this video. The Park Hill, the marquee of which I caught a glimpse of, the Lowe’s Brandt, which stood where the McDonald’s is now. Just to the south of St. Joseph’s Hospital. And the RKO Proctor, just north of Nepperhan Ave. I remember being so disappointed when the Lowe’s shut down. It was a beautiful old theater. Must have been 1973 or 1974, when they tore it down and built the McDonald’s. Would love to see a video of a walk along McLean Ave! Thanks for the memories!

Try calling them on the phone before going - (914) 963-0730 or (914) 375-3200 The first number is the Parish and the other is Family health center. I hope this help.

Anyone know who a guy who calls himself roefully might be? He seems to be connected with someone called Anna Marisa Lara who played for Yonkers United. In a comment I made in UTube I mentioned I had taught for 42 years. In his reply he wrote 'You taught for 42 years? Then you are too old and a burden on society. Help us depopulate. It's your time to go'.
