Mr. JS...wow, my heart....this was my home, my job, my life, for sooooo very many years....where l met my husband and still...it does not end as my husband's company and our food on the table is all about the finance side of life,... accountable to the old Tdot. Haha, lol, even though l am out here in a tiny beach resort town in southern BC, tdot never goes away...and neither do my beloved memories. Friends, family, peers, senior colleagues and acknowledged professionals....still MATTER and mean great, dear and touching things, in my heart. Always to be In my beloved and dear Toronto.... 💖🥰💖🥰💖

Used to live in Buffalo NY for my undergrad until recently. I specially got a Canadian tourist visa just to take advantage of the lower drinking age lol in Toronto and for some weird reason I had a soft spot for Scaddabush haha.... I'm just waffling but miss the place man so thanks for this

Really enjoy these PATH videos. I've walked sections of the PATH before it was even called the PATH back when I lived there in the mid to late 80's. It's amazing to see how it's expanded and become more connected to other sections of the city.

Just like the RESO, the PATH is basically a great way to keep yourself warm from the cold weather, especially how it’s convenient to walk from subway station to another or an office building
@n.b.35212 жыл бұрын
Oh I miss living closer to the PATH. I used to walk down there even just for exercise when it was too hot or cold outside. I hope they open up the section that would connect the PATH to Aura eventually - actually, I wish it stretched all the way to Bloor.

The diversity of Toronto never fails to amaze me. I don't think there's any city in the world more culturally diverse and comfortable than Toronto (some say London, but I've heard bad stories of racism in London; Toronto doesn't seem to have those problems).

It's been a good 30+ years since I've wandered the PATH, so very little looks familiar. I don't even think it was called that way back then. There was only one way to go from Union Station all the way to Atrium On Bay, though there was one loop around the financial towers you could make. No food courts if I remember correctly (which I might not be). I used to usually do my wandering Friday evenings after super because I had no life, so there were very few people around and most of the shops were closed, though I do vaguely remember a few coffee shops open as well as some small bookstores (Walden Books?). And of course a few pharmacies and bars/restaurants. You would have to exit at Bay and cross the street before entering the Simpsons building and continuing the underground journey. I think they finally connected both ends in 1990 or so. It really expanded into a fantastical maze since then.

So sad seeing the path being a glimmer of what it used to be. It literally used to sound like marching armies in the corridors coming out of the subway every morning when they come in and when they leave.

Yup, so true. All of us running and leaping up the stairs and the escalators late for work!! Lol, my gosh...the memories....and now it's so sad, so sad. Way too creepy and eerily quiet. No, no, no. Just no!! So saddening!!!!🥺😢🥺😢

The shops that are open are basically one customer away from closing due to the pandemic. Until the office workers come back fully to their offices these shops and the PATH will still be in survival mode. Don't see this happening for at least another year.

31:55-The food court that used to be to the left of Johnny at this time index closed up because Movenpick (a Swiss restaurant chain which set up shop here and opened up one or two restaurants here as Movenpick plus the Movenpick Marche in BCE Place/TD Canada Trust Towers and this particular food court in the Eaton Center) closed up shop and left Canada for some reason which _might_ have been Covid-related.

@@Neville60001 Actually I love the PATH. And I know how to read the maps that are sprinkled throughout the system. But if you read many of the other comments, it seems quite a few Torontonians also find the PATH confusing, so imagine heading down there as a tourist!
